When we all feel so much, it can be helpful to have a healthy way to direct that energy. My dearest

When we all feel so much, it can be helpful to have a healthy way to direct that energy. My dearest {NAME}, I was talking with my mom last night about how devastating our world is right now. The brutal, horrific invasion of Ukraine has shaken us all. Not long ago, Josh was in Odessa, Ukraine, working on a film. Each day he told me how beautiful the country is and how wonderful the people are. Now, the WhatsApp updates he’s receiving from colleagues there are shattering. The war and violence has left many of us feeling heartbroken and helpless. There’s a quote often attributed to Carl Jung that says, “The only way out is through.” I believe that can be our approach now. When we all feel so much, it can be helpful to have a healthy way to direct that energy. To move it, experience it, and transmute it. Here are three methods that are helping my heart, that you may want to consider too: 1. Be Inspired by the Soul, Strength, & Creativity of Ukrainians  There’s an infinite amount to be inspired by right now, even amid the fear and pain. Here are a few that moved us: - [SNL’s cold open]( featured the Ukrainian Chorus Dumka of New York singing “Prayer for Ukraine.” - [This Ukranian soccer player was moved to tears by the audience.]( - The Ukraine Library Association [published this message]( when they had to cancel an upcoming conference, “We will reschedule just as soon as we have finished vanquishing our invaders.” - [Ukraine has been taking down street signs]( in an attempt to “confuse and insult Russian forces.” 2. Support Ukrainian Entrepreneurs If you’re looking to support people in Ukraine, here’s a tip I learned that directly benefits entrepreneurs. Use the Etsy search function to find sellers specifically in Ukraine who sell digital products. Think: knitting patterns, digital art downloads, planner templates, etc. Even if the person is in another country right now, they should still be able to access the funds, and there’s no shipping/making anything with digital downloads. This is one way to ensure resources go directly to a struggling small business owner going through hell right now. (Plus, Etsy is waiving all Ukrainian seller fees in a show of support!) 3. Pray with a Loving Heart Your energy matters and yes, it does impact physical reality. Your thoughts can be felt. Your heart can heal. No matter your beliefs, collective consciousness is a real and powerful thing. If you feel moved, I humbly ask that you pray with me. You can say these words, as often as you wish, with a sense of love and receptivity in your heart. Dear Mother, Father God, We ask for your divine strength and wisdom at this time. We pray for peace and the protection of all beings. We pray a higher consciousness prevails. May your love lift us, lead us, and heal us so that we may become vessels of your grace. Please open our hearts, guide our thinking, shape our actions, and bring forth the miracle of peace. Amen. You are a powerful being, {NAME}. May we all continue to use our energy to support the bravery and resolve of the Ukrainian people and their birthright to live in freedom and peace.
