Hey {NAME}, It’s time for another [MF Insider’s dispatch](. Before we go further — I must say, I’m really loving this. Moving on… The Magic of Passion, Play & Full Commitment Last week, I got a beautiful reminder of just how transformative it is when you surround yourself with people who play full out. If you didn’t know — I LOVE going to theme parks. Like, obsessed. I especially love rides and rollercoasters. I scream my head off and skip around the park like I'm 7. Since I’m in Southern California right now, Disneyland felt like the perfect place to get my playtime fix. So I wrangled a few local members of Team Forleo and we hit the park for an afternoon of fun. To get the most out of our time, I booked a private Disney tour — something I’d never done before. Our guide was this powerhouse Parisian named Chip. Initially, we were excited by her warm and playful vibe. But as the tour began, we were blown away by her intellectual prowess. Facts and figures and dates and details came tumbling out of her at every turn. As we walked to each attraction, she’d often pause and huddle us off to a corner and whisper little known ‘secret stories’ about the origins of the park, the Imagineers and even Walt himself. This woman oozed joy and delight and total mastery of her domain. You could feel it — her energy and enthusiasm for the magic of Disney was not an act. Chip truly *loves* her job. Now you have to understand, I was there with some experienced Disney folk. I’m talking people who are *INTO* Disney on a whole other level than most of us normal people even know exists! So when I saw them gobsmacked by the depth and breadth of Chip's knowledge and expertise, I knew we were in the presence of greatness. Chip is a story telling magician. She explained with remarkable detail how every single aspect of the park — from the flora, to brickwork to the rivets on the trashcans — was there intentionally and had a story behind it. Nothing is accidental. Everything has purpose and meaning. With her words and ways, she transported us to a world of pure magic. We walked around the park — eyes-wide open with childlike curiosity and anticipation of what mystery we’d discover next. (To be clear, we'd all been there many times before –– but experiencing the park through CHIP'S eyes made it like nothing else!) It was so damn inspiring to witness Chip’s otherworldly commitment to her job (which I bet she views more like a calling) and to be the recipient of her playing FULL out at every turn. For instance, along our travels we had the chance to meet some of the Disney characters. Here’s me having a loving moment with the one and only Chewbacca. We chatted briefly about how much hair we both have. He felt mine and I felt his. (Yes, all of his is real too.) [click display images to see me meeting Chewbacca] On our way to the next attraction, I remarked how realistic Chewi’s whole costume was. Chip abruptly stopped us all dead in our tracks. She put her hands up, shot me an incredulous look and said, “That’s NO costume Marie — THAT WAS CHEWBACCA! You just met the REAL Chewbacca, girl!” Cue me looking and feeling like a total dumbass. I apologized and said, “Yes, so sorry Chip — my bad. What I meant to say is that CHEWBACCA’S fur is really amazing. And, I love his teeth.” Clearly, I need to up my make-believe game when it comes to meeting Disney characters. Here’s me happily volunteering to Darth Vader that I was the rogue spy he’d been hunting for. [click display images to see me meeting Darth Vader] What can I say? I have no poker face. Plus, all that heavy breathing from the Sith Lord turned me into a giddy school girl. Here’s my point… We went to Disney that day for pure fun. I wanted to spend quality time with my team, get my adrenaline fix and get high on the scent of churros. But being in proximity to that level of passion — both from Chip and from the entire Disneyland cast — I couldn’t help but walk away feeling 100X more inspired about everything in my life. I was flooded with creative ideas for our business. I went home to Josh full of excitement and stories and almost no voice. At the end of our tour with Chip, we were so sad to see her go. As we were saying our goodbyes, we learned that Chip was about to have a day off. When we asked her what she was planning to do — her response was, “Oh, I’ll be back in the park tomorrow, just like a normal guest. I love this place...” Passionate people who play full out are a gift to this world. And here’s the best part… Each of us can engage with our work and life at that extraordinary level. Each of us has the opportunity to infuse everything we do with total heart, presence and commitment. [Each of us can sprinkle a little magic wherever we go](. You have everything you need right now to be a gift in this world. Don’t hold back your light. Don’t suppress your joy. And don’t ever get too busy to play. Thank you so much for reading and being an MF insider, {NAME}. I’ll be back in your inbox next week with a brand new episode of MarieTV. With all my love, XO Marie If you wish to stop receiving our emails or change your subscription options, please [Manage your subscription]() Marie Forleo International, 332 Bleecker Street, #517 , New York, NY 10014
