{NAME}, Whoo—weee! September has been a month chock-full of growth, learning and adventures. So much good stuff, I can hardly contain myself. That's why, in this [MF Insider subscriber-only dispatch](, I want to share some recommendations for things I've found tremendous value in. ENJOY 👍 1. A Great Strategy from Tony Robbins You Can Use Right Now Earlier this month I was in Fiji to be a business mentor alongside Tony Robbins, Tim Ferriss and others as part of Shopify's Build A Bigger Business competition. While ostensibly I was there to share guidance and support, I left with a journal packed full of notes and ideas to take action on myself. [display images to see our mentor panel in action]( One strategy I really loved was from Tony. He shared his non-negotiable practice of asking two key questions after any event or meeting. What went right? What can we do better next time? Something about the simplicity of these questions resonated with me. So last week, at our MarieTV shoot (side note: I can't WAIT for you to [see these new episodes](!), I called a meeting with our entire crew to work through these two questions as a group. The results were phenomenal. In less than 30 minutes, we had pages and pages of actionable ideas that'll help us perform better as a team. Answering those two simple questions left us all feeling seen, heard and extremely motivated to raise our game! Best part? You don't need a team in order to use this idea. You can ask yourself these two questions after any meeting, performance, or project and create equally powerful results. In fact, here's a tweetable I created as a reminder. Tweet away! [The formula for constant growth = build on what works + change or eliminate what doesn’t. @MarieForleo]( There's more to share about Fiji, which you can catch in an upcoming episode of [Unplugged](. 2. A Book Recommendation No joke. This September has been the busiest book launch month I've seen in my career. So many people I respect and appreciate have books coming out, all at the same time. One book I'd highly recommend, especially if you're a business owner (or want to be), is called [Blue Ocean Shift: Beyond Competing - Proven Steps to Inspire Confidence and Seize New Growth](. [display images to see the Blue Ocean Shift]( I've recently gotten to know the co-author, Renée Mauborgne, and she's a genius. This one is for you if you sense you're in an overcrowded market and it's putting the squeeze on your profits, creativity and joy. Get this book on your library or Amazon list, pronto. 3. Skill Building Workshop for Speakers, Artists and Entrepreneurs Do you remember my ["Everything is Figureoutable"]( talk that I gave for Oprah last year? As I've shared before — I was a nervous wreck preparing for that experience. I wanted to do a really good job for Oprah, the audience, my team and (of course) myself. One of the most important things I did to get ready for that talk was work closely with my partner, Josh. He may be one of the most intuitive, gifted directors I've ever met. Though he acts and writes full time (Ray Donovan, Younger, etc.), a few times a year he trains people in small, hands-on workshops geared for artists and entrepreneurs. He's got a few spots left in an upcoming workshop in NYC. If you or someone you know wants to become a much more powerful speaker, presenter or performer — [check it out here](. (I'm not an affiliate nor do I get any money from this. I just know firsthand how challenging it can be to perform in front of a camera, on big stages, etc. Josh's work has been transformative in this regard!) Wishing you a spectacular Tuesday, {NAME}. I'll be back in your inbox soon with another episode of Unplugged and next week with a brand new MarieTV. With tons of 💗 love, XO M.
