{NAME} – Earlier this week, the Supreme Court heard oral arguments in the ongoing case around mifepristone. To recap the situation: - A Trump-appointed federal judge in Texas last year blocked the FDA's approval of mifepristone, a widely-used abortion drug that's been available for over twenty years. - If allowed by SCOTUS to stand, this ruling would ban the use of mifepristone even in states like Virginia where abortion remains legal. This case is an urgent reminder that the far right wants to further restrict reproductive freedom after the Dobbs decision. If you're worried or scared about the immediate future, I completely understand. But we can fight back together, {NAME}. Our goal is clear: re-taking the House and passing federal legislation that restores abortion rights everywhere. I'm committed to getting this done – but if we fall short in VA-07, the path to a Democratic majority becomes much harder. So {NAME}, with our end-of-quarter deadline just two days away, I need your help. [Will you donate $16 (or more) right now so we can put out a strong FEC report and gear up for the coming attacks from Republicans in this swing district?]( [Donate Today]( I've said it before and I'll say it again: it's outrageous that right-wing judges can ignore years of medical evidence and dictate what medication we can and can't use. I refuse to be silent and let them get away with it. But the only way to ultimately turn the tide is by electing a new majority with proven pro-choice champions. I've seen the fight for reproductive freedom firsthand here in Virginia. We've held the line against Republican efforts to restrict abortion access, and it's clear that our message wins out when we amplify it. Now, in this race for VA-07, I need the resources to amplify a proudly pro-choice in what will be one of the most expensive House races of 2024. [That's why I hope you'll stand with me before Sunday's deadline.
