We can’t ignore the barriers right in front of us {NAME} – During this Women's History Month, we look at both the strides we've made and the obstacles we have yet to overcome. And one of the biggest structural inequities that remains is the gender pay gap. Over the last two decades, we've come a long way, and this year, we've seen the lowest gender pay gap on record. I don't take that progress for granted, but there is still a lot of work to be done. This year, women are still paid 84 cents for every dollar paid to men, and that number is even lower for women of color. Although that number may seem small now, it can add up to tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars over one woman's lifetime. We can't let that continue, so it's time to eliminate systemic barriers, blatant discrimination, and tremendous obstacles and close this persistent wage gap. [{NAME}, I can't do this without you. Will you chip in $3 to help me take our fight for equal pay to Congress?]( [donate]( I am resolved to do everything in my power to usher in an era of equal pay. That starts with flipping back the House of Representatives, with the 7th Congressional District being a prime battleground. I've got critical experience fighting for equality, justice, and fairness from my time as a Hill staffer, and I've built winning coalitions here in Prince William County in multiple elections. I have what it takes to get across the finish line, and then deliver on the promises voters expect once I get to Congress. [Our end-of-quarter deadline is just one week away, so now is the time to build our movement even further. Please, {NAME}, pitch in $3 as soon as possible. >>]( Every dollar matters at this stage of the race, and thanks to supporters like you, we are one step closer to bringing our values and vision to Congress.
