Union built this country I was a teacher in the Syracuse City School District and in West Genesee Central School District, where I served as the teachers' association president for eight years. Jen also taught in both locations and continues to be a proud union member. There was no question when I got to the New York State Senate that I would immediately get to work making things better for middle class families like mine - and that means standing by unions, creating jobs, and supporting middle class tax cuts.
