No one ever thought we would come this far in this campaign against the most well-funded Republican in Congress, Kevin McCarthy, and it's entirely because of the generosity and hard word of people like you. Since we launched this campaign, over 61,000 grassroots donors stepped up to the plate, with an average donation of just $25. We were able to raise more money for this fight than any other Democrat -- combined -- who ever ran against Kevin McCarthy. And not one cent of it came from corporate PACs. That is something to be incredibly proud of, no matter the outcome. {NAME}, here's where we stand right now: According to the Kern County Election Chief, there are still 100,000 ballots that need to be processed. Many of those ballots will be a part of the final results total of CA-23. So, while we recognize the challenge ahead to come out victorious, we want to wait for all the votes to be counted before making a judgement.
