How we honor RBG's memory. {NAME}, Since the news of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s passing, there’s been an outpouring of tributes from every corner of the country. Governor Evers has ordered flags to be flown at half-staff here in Wisconsin — a fitting honor for such a consequential, larger-than-life figure whose contributions have done so much to move us forward. It’s easy to see the indelible mark her presence on the Supreme Court has left on our country — particularly for those of us whose rights she fought hardest to uphold. Her legacy is without question. Her contributions on the Supreme Court and in the struggle to achieve a more equitable society will forever endure. And the work necessary to fully realize her vision for this country must continue in all of us. Justice Ginsburg’s lifelong pursuit of truth, equality, and basic fairness under the law has brought us closer to becoming the nation we aspire to be — one where man-made barriers do not hold people back, and where equity and justice are our guiding lights forward. If we want to preserve her legacy and defend the progress she helped this country achieve, we can’t look at her legacy in the past tense. It’s the way forward — marching orders for this movement over the next 43 days and beyond. Let’s continue fighting for a more just and equitable future that would make RBG proud. In progress, Mandela Thanks for your commitment to reclaiming Wisconsin in 2020.
