Can possibly add 20 or 30 more years of healthy, happy life Story-At-a-Glance Matt Cook here, and all of us used to eat a lot of foods that naturally contained this one powerful amino acid. But now the food industry has taken it out and replaced it with artificial toxins. And now men are getting sicker more often and living shorter lives. But if you supplement with this amino acid, you can actually maximize your lifespan and potentially live decades longer. ----Important Message From Matt---- For men who come too soon and want to last longer [Can't see this image? It is an amino acid -- one of the building blocks of protein. Gelatin and collagen are proteins which are abundant sources of glycine. Traditionally, we have eaten quite a lot of glycine. But in recent years, Western countries have started to avoid glycine containing meat and products in favour of muscle meat. We are getting less glycine than we used to. But glycine is essential for balancing the inflammatory potential of animal proteins. Glycine, collagen, and gelatin all have anti-inflammatory effects. The health benefits of glycine are almost infinite. I’ve written about many of them before -- including numerous lines of research that show glycine could increase lifespan. Just recently, another animal study showed that glycine can significantly increase average lifespan and maximum lifespan. It’s a nutrient you do not want to miss out on. [Can't see this image? Click on 'load images' or 'always allow images for this sender'] The animal research was carried out at the Paul F. Glenn Center for Biology of Aging Research, University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. The paper was published in Aging Cell. I have made reference to previous research showing that glycine extends longevity in rodents in both my emails and newsletters. Those previous studies gave the impetus for this research. “A small prior study has suggested that supplemental glycine could extend the lifespan of rats.” The researchers were curious about the validity of the study -- and how it would transfer onto different animals. So they conducted a similar experiment where mice (instead of rats) were given extra supplemental glycine. The glycine-fed mice were given 8% of their calories from this anti-inflammatory amino acid. The researchers used both male and female mice and compared those mice against the same type of animal given a standard diet. “We evaluated the effects of an 8% glycine diet on lifespan and pathology of mice in the context of the Interventions Testing Programme.” This is part of a series of research experiments looking for substances which could safely increase longevity. The researchers confirm the findings of the rat experiments -- mice given extra glycine live longer. “Elevated glycine led to a 4%-6% lifespan increase in male and female mice.” Not only did the mice live significantly longer, the maximum lifespan was also increased significantly. “Elevated glycine led to an increase in maximum lifespan in both males and females.” Female mice given supplemental glycine were lighter. I suspect this may be because of an anti-estrogen effect of glycine. You see the high levels of estrogen in females causes weight gain from water retention and increased fat. There was no difference in body weights in male animals glycine compared with those in a normal diet. “Glycine supplemented females were lighter than controls, but there was no effect on weight in males.” The animals were autopsied -- and the researchers looked for signs of a few dozen of the most common causes of death. The researchers found animals given glycine had significantly lower rates of pulmonary adenocarcinoma -- a type of potentially lethal lung cancer. “Glycine-treated mice were less likely than controls to die of pulmonary adenocarcinoma.” None of the causes of death assessed in the research were found to be increased in animals which were given glycine. “Of the 40 varieties of incidental pathology evaluated in these mice, none were increased to a significant degree by the glycine-supplemented diet.” Some researchers believe that the longevity-promoting effects of glycine may be due to its actions in opposing another inflammatory amino acid called methionine. Methionine restriction diets also increase lifespan. Glycine helps to detoxify methionine. “Diets low in methionine extend lifespan of rodents and glycine can mitigate methionine toxicity.” Much of the previous research which is used to argue that low-calorie diets or low-protein diets increase longevity can be explained by these diets simply limiting methionine intake. And if the theory is true, then limiting calories, protein, or methionine is not even necessary. Assuring adequate glycine intake could be all that’s needed to significantly increase lifespan. Collagen and gelatin both contain almost 25% glycine by weight -- they are the best sources of this anti-inflammatory super nutrient. I like to get a couple of ounces of collagen or gelatin every day. ----Important Message About Living a Longer, Healthier, Happier Life---- Rich celebrities take this anti-aging supplement -- now you and I can too For more than 50 years, the natural anti-aging hormone known only as CID5920 was kept secret from men like you and me. Flesch reading score

Flesch reading score measures how complex a text is. The lower the score, the more difficult the text is to read. The Flesch readability score uses the average length of your sentences (measured by the number of words) and the average number of syllables per word in an equation to calculate the reading ease. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables. Usually, a reading ease score of 60-70 is considered acceptable/normal for web copy.
