[Can't see this image? And this is super important for guys our age -- because past 40, our testosterone is declining faster than ever (and the prostate is slowly swellingâ¦) Which is why you may have noticed you arenât HUNGRY for sex the way you used to be⦠And for a lot of guys, this also means irritating prostate issues (such as weak urination streams, and feeling like you need to âgoâ even when you really donâtâ¦) And then it starts affecting rockiness...where suddenly itâs difficult if not impossible to get rocky and stay rocky long enough for sex⦠[Thatâs where this easy bedtime ritual comes in -- it protects menâs T levels, heals the prostate, and boosts rockiness all at the same time]( ---------- Doctors warn men: this prostate treatment hurts rockiness Great sex and good food. These are two of the greatest pleasures of my life. For many men itâs the same thing. Amazing sex makes life worth living. In fact, I get letters from men all the time about how frustrated they are because âthings donât work down there like they used to.â Having dealt with rockiness problems myself, I get it. These days I almost always have good firmness, but even if I donât I still have GREAT sex (more on that later). Having gone through the incredible frustration and demoralization of not being able to have intercourse is one of the reasons that I spend LOTS of time letting men know about surgeries and treatments that can and DO cause sexual side effects. Today, Iâm going to tell you about a study that was done on prostate cancer treatments because itâs SERIOUSLY eye opening. [Can't see this image? 5 year study on the effects of prostate cancer treatment. This study was conducted over 5 years, with over 1,000 men. There were different treatment modalities used to treat prostate cancer. Researchers studied 1,386 men who had favorable-risk prostate cancer and another 619 men with unfavorable-risk prostate cancer to evaluate the impact of their treatment decisions on urinary, sexual and bowel function over a five-year period. The study measured urinary, sexual, and bowel function for five years following treatment. Favorable-risk vs unfavorable-risk can affect your decisions. The men in this group were divided into two main buckets. The first âbucketâ is men who have favorable-risk prostate cancer. This means that the cancer isnât expected to advance past the prostate. There were also men with unfavorable-risk prostate cancer. This type of cancer is more aggressive and typically needs to be treated more aggressively. The good news is that MOST prostate cancer, especially in men over 50, is in the favorable risk category. Active surveillance vs. radiation and/or surgery. This study measured the effects of active surveillance against radiation and/or surgery. Active surveillance, an observation strategy in which treatment is only used if the cancer gets worse over time. Rockiness problems are an EXPECTED outcome with radiation and surgery. One of the things you NEED to know about getting prostate surgery is that the effects on sexual function are IMMEDIATE and severe. Men undergoing surgery experienced an immediate, sharp decline in âpenileâ function compared to other groups. This isnât true of radiation alone, but over time the results of prostate surgery and radiation are nearly identical -- with terrible sexual function effects.  "While the time course is different for surgery and radiation, our study shows that only about half of men undergoing these treatments who had ârockinessâ good enough for intercourse before treatment will still have ârockinessâ good enough for intercourse five years later. People using active surveillance as a method can still have problems, but overall get better results than those who choose either radiation or surgery. Urinary function problems are common. Another BIG problem with prostate surgery is incontinence or not being able to hold your urine. In terms of urinary function, prostatectomy was associated with worse incontinence compared to other treatments through five years for both the favorable-risk and the unfavorable-risk groups. At five years, 10-16% of men who had surgery reported a moderate or big problem with leakage, compared to only 4-7% of men who had other treatments. The rates of incontinence in men who had surgery are over twice as high for those who had other treatments. You CAN have sex without rockiness. This all sounds incredibly dreary, but even if youâve had prostate surgery or have problems getting rocky you CAN still have great sex -- even intercourse.  Overall, if you do get diagnosed with prostate cancer and you CAN do active surveillance, it has far fewer negative side effects than radiation or surgery. Talk with your doctor and make the best decision for YOU. ----Important Message About Having Sex Until 120 And Beyond---- This one unusual practice is allowing men to have sex every dayÂ
