[Hereâs how to push one of 7 of her ânaughtyâ buttons even if she doesnât have much drive or desire...]( ---------- Using kinesiology tape this way lowers blood pressure High blood pressure is a major risk factor for coronary artery disease, stroke, heart failure, atrial fibrillation, and dementia. There are many causes of high blood pressure. Insulin resistance and metabolic syndrome are common causes. In cases like this, blood pressure can be lowered over time with lifestyle changes. A new study shows that kinesiology tape -- applied to the back -- can quickly lower blood pressure. This can bring down risk factors while lifestyle changes are implemented. [Can't see this image? Click on 'load images' or 'always allow images for this sender'] This study was conducted at numerous research institutes in the United Kingdom and Portugal. The results were published in the Journal of Medical Hypothesis. High blood pressure is associated with changes in the autonomic nervous system. The autonomic nervous system controls subconscious processes like heart rate and digestion, and reflex actions like coughing or vomiting. Blood pressure is a subconscious process of the autonomic nervous system. âSystemic arterial hypertension, a well-known cause of morbidity, is associated with dysfunction of the autonomic nervous system.â Kinesiologists have developed ways of tapping into the autonomic nervous system from the outside. By applying tape to the skin they can alter autonomic nervous system functions. The study set out to determine whether kinesiology taping could affect the autonomic nervous system and thereby lower blood pressure. âWe hypothesised that neuromuscular taping may reduce blood pressure in systemic arterial hypertension.â The study recruited seven people in their 40s, 50s, and 60s. The participants had strips of kinesiology tape applied to the upper back for a week. âNeuromuscular taping was symmetrically applied to the back, between C1 and T2, of seven hypertensive patients for 5â7â¯days.â The scientists took blood pressure readings before the study and at the end. âCardiovascular autonomic parameters were assessed at baseline and at the end of the study.â Kinesiology tape lowered all measures of blood pressure after just one week. It may have happened sooner but the tests were one week after the start of the experiment. âTaping was associated with falls in mean arterial blood pressure, mean systolic blood pressure, mean diastolic pressure.â The mean systolic blood pressure decreased from 172 down to 136. Systolic blood pressure is the main risk factor in a blood pressure reading. That is an enormous decrease in blood pressure. The systolic blood pressure also decreased. It went from 79 to 64. There were no significant changes in heart rate. Blood pressure was significantly lower even five days after the taping experiment had finished. âThe beneficial effects on blood pressure appeared to last for at least five days post-neuromuscular taping.â Scientists also looked at something called vagal tone. This is a measure of the activation of the nervous system. The vagal tone readings indicate that the tape was changing the inputs to the nervous system and brain. âThe mechanism of action of this intervention involves modulation of the brainstem parasympathetic system during cardiovascular control.â The scientist called for further studies into this subject. They want to know what is the optimal taping regimen to treat high blood pressure. âFurther studies are indicated to replicate the present findings and establish the optimum time-period and taping positioning.â The tape used in these experiments was just elastic cotton with an adhesive patch on the back. Multiple strips were used running from shoulder to shoulder -- pulling the skin across the back of the neck and upper back. This amazing study is the first of its kind looking at the effective kinesiology tape on blood pressure. And the results could be a real lifesaver. Kinesiology tape has been around since the 1970s. Many in the medical establishment consider it a pseudoscientific practice with only placebo effects. Thankfully, some people are researching kinesiology tape and showing its effects scientifically. ----Important Message for Men Looking to Lower Blood Pressure with Food---- 5 foods that give men perfect pressure while improving blood flow, especially âdown thereâ - Cooked spinach
