[Check your answer here]( ---------- Here’s why I never eat my food out of plastic containers Plastic is not safe to eat… Yet much of our food and drink comes stored in plastic containers. Tiny fragments of plastic leech from this packaging into our food and drink. Plastic compounds, such as BPA, have enormous effects on hormones...even when we only consume microscopic amounts. BPA has estrogenic and antithyroid properties. It’s best to avoid plastic food packaging as much as possible. But for most people it is impossible to avoid plastic food packaging entirely. Scientists recently discovered that ginger has the ability to protect the thyroid gland against damage caused by BPA from plastic. The thyroid is essential for maintaining optimal weight. It produces the hormones that control our cells’ ability to generate energy. [Can't see this image? The journal Science of the Total Environment published the results. BPA is easily one of the most common chemical toxins worldwide. “Environmental exposure to BPA is alarming because of the potential health threats for example those concerning the thyroid glands which may show signs of oxidative stress.” The compound is used in plastic manufacturing. It’s in bottles, food packages, toys, water pipes, and even dental fillings. Very few people get through the day without being exposed to harmful levels of BPA. One of the many problems associated with this chemical is damage to the thyroid gland. The thyroid damage is usually accompanied by changes in oxidative stress. Oxidative stress can be detected using a number of different tests. Scientists usually look for glutathione and malondialdehyde as primary markers of oxidative stress. When glutathione decreases and malondialdehyde increases, this is a sure sign of oxidative stress. And this is what we see in the thyroid gland of animals and people exposed to BPA. There are a number of things that can mitigate oxidative stress, and the common spice ginger is one such tool. So the researchers set out to discover whether or not ginger can protect the thyroid gland from BPA damage. “This original study aimed to investigate the possible antioxidant protective effects of ginger extract against BPA-induced thyroid injury in male rats.” They exposed the experimental animals to large amounts of BPA for five weeks. And the BPA exposure was effective in creating oxidative stress and thyroid damage. “Thyroid injury induced by BPA involved significant depletion of reduced glutathione as well as significant increases in malondialdehyde.” In the later parts of this experiment, the researchers were able to detect damage in the thyroid gland right down to the DNA level. “Chronic BPA exposure eventually resulted in DNA fragmentation within thyroid tissues.” The function of the thyroid gland was also clearly damaged by exposure to the plastic compound. Thyroid hormones decreased after exposure to BPA. “A significant decrease in (thyroid hormones)T3 and T4 was accompanied by a significantly increased serum TSH level.” These changes to the thyroid increase the risk of hypothyroidism, Hashimoto’s disease, thyroid nodules, thyroid cancer, cardiovascular disease, obesity, type 2 diabetes, and high blood pressure. (That’s just for starters.) After documenting the extensive damage caused to the thyroid gland by BPA, researchers introduced ginger. Ginger supplementation significantly reversed most of the damage caused to the thyroid gland by BPA exposure. “These biochemical and histological alterations were significantly alleviated with ginger administration plus BPA.” The researchers investigated many of the pathways for these effects too. So they understand how the BPA and ginger are working on thyroid. The same metabolic pathways are present in humans – meaning that it is very likely that ginger can protect the human thyroid against BPA damage too. “Ginger extract is a potent antioxidant that can effectively protect against BPA-induced thyroid oxidative damage enhancing the thyroid hormones synthesis.” It’s a good idea to limit your exposure to plastic food and drink packaging as much as possible. But taking a few grams of ginger every day could help mitigate the harm caused by the BPA you are inevitably exposed to. You should always consult a healthcare practitioner about diagnosing and treating any health-related problems. ----Important Message---- This toothbrush technique cleans plaque out of the penile chambers for better “rockiness” When bad fats build up in the bloodstream, they turn into plaque. And this plaque clogs up the arteries -- even the tiny little arteries in the penile chambers. So now blood flow is suffering -- the plaque is blocking up the arteries and hurting penile blood flow. This is called “penile fibrosis” and it makes it more difficult for men to get rocky and stay rocky. [Can't see this image? So how do you remove the plaque build-up in the penile chambers to get good rockiness again? [Luckily, it’s as easy as using this new toothbrush technique...]( ---------- Daily Medical Discoveries is dedicated to uncovering secret, buried or censored studies that can help men live great lives to 120 and beyond. Flesch reading score

Flesch reading score measures how complex a text is. The lower the score, the more difficult the text is to read. The Flesch readability score uses the average length of your sentences (measured by the number of words) and the average number of syllables per word in an equation to calculate the reading ease. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables. Usually, a reading ease score of 60-70 is considered acceptable/normal for web copy.
