[Maker Faire Partners With Burning Man for European Leadership Summit This Weekend](
Maker Faire Bay Area is fortunate to have had a vibrant local Burning Man presence since our first event in 2006. That San Francisco Bay Area enthusiasm for making large-scale / kinetic art has in turn influenced what Maker Faire is known for around the globe, and is part of the experience that people look for when they come to a Maker Faire.
This year we got to officially collaborate with Burning Man to put on simultaneous European Leadership Summits in Aarhus, Denmark happening this weekend, April 12–14. As part of the summit we’re hosting a shared and free-to-the-public program on Saturday called [The Radical City: Dreamers, Makers and Doers](. The event aims to explore the dynamics of our roles as citizens in both temporary and permanent cities and address questions that pertain to issues of public space, city activism, urban impermanence, self-expression, governance systems, community-building, and fostering sustainable cities.
