Make fish cake noodle soup 🐟 and broccoli with tofu! 🥦 # # # How are yo

Make fish cake noodle soup 🐟 and broccoli with tofu! 🥦 #  [View in browser](  #  [[]  #  How are you doing?!  Hi everybody! I hope all of you are staying healthy during this pandemic. We're all going through the same painful experience. I really hope we all make it through ok and then we can continue on with our healthy and happy lives.  I always think about how much we all have in common with each other no matter what part of this wide world we live in. And then among all these people, I found you guys through my newsletter who love Korean cooking and my recipes. You are all very special to me and I love you all!  #  I live in the middle of Manhattan in New York City. These days there are not a lot of people outside and it's not nearly as busy as it used to be. This building is on 5th Avenue, it's the Louis Vuitton store. When I looked up I loved the design of the outside of the building and how it contrasts against the sky. Isn't it pretty?   #  New recipe: Fish cake noodle soup  I really love Korean guksu (noodle soup) because it has a light, clear broth, is incredibly savory, and is not greasy at all. My palate has changed over the years and [this noodle soup is my favorite these days](. The broth is anchovy kelp stock, then I add fish cakes and noodles. Soon as I make it I have to inhale it right away! [I posted the recipe]( to share it with you guys. Interestingly just one skewer of fish cake is all we need, and more than one upsets the balance! We Koreans have a saying: when you feel like eating more of something, it's time to drop your spoon and chopsticks. In other words, always leave some room at the end, that's how you enjoy something fully.   [Make eomuk-guksu!](  #  New recipe: Broccoli with tofu  For my first video of 2021, I chose something easy, simple, fast, and healthy. [Broccoli with tofu](, or broccoli dubu-muchim (브로콜리 두부무침) in Korean. You probably saw this broccoli dish if you ever ate at a Korean restaurant and they brought out many side dishes to your table, because it's usually one of them. I tried not to season the tofu too much because I want it to be white like snow has fallen on some green stuff.  You can replace broccoli with any green vegetables like spinach or [ssukgat (chrysanthemum greens)](. This dish is totally vegetarian!   [Make broccoli with tofu](  #  Fish cake noodle soup made by Jane  How many family members do you think Jane has? : ) Mom and father and 3 cute children! Jane followed my fish cake noodle soup recipe exactly and enjoyed this meal with her entire family, serving her homemade kimchi as a side dish. How can we not love this?   #  Yu choy with tofu  One of my readers whose id is [MaangchiLove]( on my website gave us an idea to replace broccoli with yu choy. It looks so good, doesn't it?   #  My [17 year old reader Julien]( made this delicious, colorful looking bibimbap! I'm so proud of him!   [learn how to make bibimbap!](  #   I posted a [short recipe video on Instagram about making Korean citron tea aka yujacha](!  I buy [yuja]( (a kind of Korean citrus fruit) every year from a farm in California. The yuja grown in Korea is much tastier, but it's better than nothing, right? : )  I know it's hard to find yuja anywhere, so you could replace it with lemon following [my yujacha recipe](. Then we call it "lemon-cha."  [Watch the video!](  #  Making & selling kimchi!  How many of you sell kimchi made with my recipes? These days many of my readers let me know they sell the kimchi they made and their businesses are really going well. Whenever I hear that news I am so happy! Check out what my reader wrote on Twitter below, it's so cool!   [Make your own kimchi!](  #  Amazing messages from my viewers and readers!  I laugh, cry, or am impressed by your stories everyday!  #  Elena sent me the message below, I'm so happy to hear that I can help someone 91 years old relax! : )  I just want to say that the only thing that helps my 91 year mom with Alzheimer's calm down and relax is watching your show. When you eat at the end she always says: “How could she eat food so deliciously?!” Then she sleeps all night instead of waking up every two hours.  #  My new reader in Finland watched my [dakgaejang (spicy chicken & vegetable soup) video]( and had an "aha moment" that turned her into a Korean food fan!  Hi Maangchi I found you a week ago and I have been watching a lot of cooking videos recently. I got interested in Korean food ever since my first Korean friend made me spicy chicken soup with vegetables and potatoes. Now as I watch this video I realize it's the same soup! Thank you for great recipes! I can't wait to cook these myself and kimchi is the best! Love from Finland ❤️  #  I was almost crying while reading this next comment. She used to watch my video while she was pregnant!  Dear Maangchi, 10 years ago I watched you every day when I was pregnant with my daughter. Now she is 9. With your recipes you are forever young!  #  Stay safe & warm! I'll see you in March! Love, Maangchi  #   [Unsubscribe here](  #  This email was sent to {EMAIL} You received this email because you are registered to get Maangchi's letter  © 2021 Maangchi LLC New York City, USA Â
