Korean sausage bread, fish roe bibimbap, & spicy chicken soup!  [View in browser](   [[]   My new cookbook is coming this fall!  OMG! After more than 2 years of work I can finally announce the news: my new book will be coming this year! : )  Below is a copy of the final book cover sent to me by my publisher. The book itself isn't finished yet. I still have to read and edit the final draft one more time, but it will be called Maangchi's Big Book of Korean Cooking. My publisher will be announcing a special preorder plan soon, so stay tuned! I'll let you know all about it.    [New recipe:Â]([Sausage bread!Â](  Korean [sausage-ppang]( is a hotdog or sausage baked in fresh bread and covered with toppings and cheese. It's a popular item at Korean bakeries, and fun to make at home! It tastes and smells like pizza but a little sweeter. That's why this bread is also called pizza-ppang (피자빵 in Korean). Out of all the recipes I've posted, this one has inspired the most people to make it right away. I was happy to see their homemade creations, some of their photos are in this letter below!   [Make sausage bread](   [New recipe: F]([ish roe bibimbap](  I eventually posted my [albap]( recipe after years of requests from so many of my readers. It's a very easy and simple recipe! Hot, sizzling bibimbap with fresh vegetables and crispy flying fish roe popping in your mouth while you chew. To make this dish you will have to find specially made marinated fish roe. I used flying fish roe that I got at a Korean grocery store.   [My albap recipe and video!](   [New recipe: Spicy chicken and vegetable soup](  This spicy chicken and vegetable soup is called [dakgaejang (닭개장)]( in Korean. It's not only delicious but also very nutritious because it contains lots of good protein from chicken and good vitamins and minerals from the different kinds of vegetables used.  Good tips for making this soup are to use a whole chicken to create a delicious stock and make a spicy and smoky oil to give the dish a special flavor. [All this information is in the recipe](!  Follow the step by step recipe and make delicious and healthy soup for you and your family!   [Make dakgaejang!](    miniyen in New Zealand  Miniyen posted this photo on my website just right after I posted the recipe! I was surprised to see how fast she made such a gorgeous sausage-ppang!  Jshower1's sausage-ppang  Another sausage ppang photo! This time made by Jshower in Korea! Plump and fluffy sausage-ppang!   Korean food party!  Javhlan in Portugal posted this photo to my website with a long, interesting message. ([You can read the whole thing here]()  She said, "Whenever I go abroad I look for Korean restaurant and London, Berlin, Madrid and Rome I am eating at a Korean restaurant. Yesterday for lunch I cooked [soegogi muguk (beef and radish soup)]( and it was delicious! Keep doing what you are doing and I will learn from you lot!"  I was smiling while reading the lines because I also look for Korean grocery stores and Korean restaurants whenever I go abroad!  All the dishes on the table look wonderful! They'll have a fun party in any minute now! Can I join? : )   [My beef and radish soup recipe is here!](   [Bossam, Korean pork wraps](  Swiss Miss in Singapore made [bossam (pork wraps)]( and uploaded this photo to my website. She said: "My husband loved it. He even told me that I can open my own restaurant"!  What a great compliment she got from her husband! It makes me happy, too! The sliced brown and shiny pork looks so tasty! I want to pick up one piece and dip it in the dipping sauce! Umm~ my mouth is watering now! I'm making it soon! : )   [Make bossam (pork wraps)](    Sara Zaffani's Korean dinner!  Sara made all these dishes and posted this photo on her Facebook! From clockwise top left, [galbijjim]((braised beef short ribs), [bibimbap](, [gimbap]( (seaweed rice rolls), [tteokbokki]( (spicy rice cake), [doenjang jjigae]( (fermented bean paste stew), and [japchae]( (stir-fried noodles and vegetables) Wow, fantastic!  [Japchae recipe is here!Â](   I haven't worn this hat for more than 12 years! I exactly remember the last time I wore it, I was in Los Angeles. I put it on last week and enjoyed my favorite bubble tea slush. I kept it nicely all those years!    It's still cool and chily here in New York city but I'm sure it will be warmer and spring sprit will be everywhere when I send you my next letter on May 1st!
