No matter what you do for a living or who you are, there is at least one thing in common between you and me! We're happy with our homemade food! Let's cook together this year!    [New recipe: Knife-cut noodle soup with red beans](  It's a 1 bowl meal called [pat-kalguksu]( made with only 2 main ingredients, [red beans (pat in Korean)]( and flour. It’s a very warming and comforting noodle soup, perfect for the wintertime! Actually I love this soup all year 'round. Whenever I feel like this noodle soup, I can make it easily because I always have pat in my pantry.   [Make pat-kalguksu!](   [New recipe: Korean beef jerky!Â](  This is my family's all time favorite snack: [Korean style beef jerky called yukpo](. I marinated slices of beef and then dried them out with my electric dehydrator. This is a traditional Korean recipe and considered to be a very precious food.  It's one of my cookbook recipes and I really wanted to make a video for it before 2018 finished. I made it! You, too?   [Make chapssaltteok](   Miro Makes Kimchi  I met Miro Uskokovic earlier this year at an event at the restaurant in New York City where he works. He told me that he makes many of my recipes. Then I saw [this photo of him making kimchi at 2 a.m.](! I know he's a pastry chef so I thought he would make a lot of Korean pastries, but he looks like a real Korean cook here and is making kimchi the traditional way!   [You can make kimchi, too!](   Sandi Gau's doenjang-jjigae looks very tasty!  [Sandy made this soybean paste stew]( and said it's perfect for the cold weather. That's right! I love to have hot, steamy doenjang-jjigae on any cold day, it makes me feel cozy, comfortable, and warm! The first thing I thought of when I saw this photo is that the broth looks so delicious. It looks like a simple stew with tofu, but any Korean will recognize that this is a perfectly made doenjang-jjigae.   [Learn how to make soybean paste stew](   My colorful gimbap  Every once in a while I get a craving for [gimbap (seaweed paper rice rolls)]( and I just have to make them!
