I’m completely appalled by this stunt, {NAME} Hey {NAME} – Just when I think Republican officials couldn’t stoop any lower, they find a way to prove me wrong. Yesterday morning, we got the news that Ron Desantis – the Republican governor of Florida – flew about 50 migrants from San Antonio to Martha’s Vineyard, without telling them where they were going or alerting local officials that they were coming. They told them they were going to Boston. Yes, you read that correctly. The governor of Florida used taxpayer money to ship women and children across the country, without their knowledge, just for a political stunt. These are real people being used as a prop in Republican’s culture wars. It’s abhorrent and cruel. [I’m absolutely furious that this happened, {NAME}. If you feel the same way I do, please sign our letter demanding that GOP leadership condemn this action from Governor Desantis →]( [ADD YOUR NAME]( Just when you think this story couldn’t get worse, [NPR reported]( that the migrants were lured onto the plane by a woman who told them they would be flown to Boston to get expedited work papers. How depraved do you have to be to lie to the faces of struggling people, just to exploit them for your political purposes? Many Republicans like to flout their supposed “Christian values” – but let me tell you, this is not the Christianity that I follow. I believe in treating people with dignity and respect, not as political pawns. [We need to send a message that this won’t be tolerated. Help me demand accountability from GOP leadership for this horrible stunt →]( [SIGN HERE]( In solidarity, Lucy McBath --------------------------------------------------------------- This email was sent to {EMAIL}.
