difficult decision

In a meeting with our organizing team about this final week of early voting, we were talking through the latest turnout numbers. That’s when it became clear that, given the resources, we had a chance to bank a good number of additional votes before Election Day even gets here. The resources were not in our budget before today, but I authorized the organizing team to put the plan into action. Yes, that was a risk, but one that I felt was critical to take. Because while we knew turnout would be high, more people are voting early than we had projected, so we needed to make sure we could reach those who are still deciding. I was comfortable making this risky decision on that bet that if we asked you, then enough people on this team would step up to fill the budget gap to make sure Lucy wins.
