Some important updates about our campaign [Lucas Kunce for U.S. Senate] Hey {NAME}, it’s Caleb, Lucas Kunce’s campaign manager. I don’t reach out like this very often, but I wanted to share a few important updates before I ask you to chip in toward our $300,000 end-of-month goal. [CHIP IN NOW]( Since I last updated you in September, our campaign has been firing on all cylinders — holding Josh Hawley accountable, getting Lucas out across the state, and, with your support, continuing to build a record-breaking grassroots movement. [On the left, a photo of Lucas at a big labor rally in St. Louis County. On the right, a headline about Lucas' 2023 fundraising: Lucas Kunce raises over $5.4M in 2023 for campaign against Josh Hawley, the largest-ever off-year fundraising haul for a Missouri Senate challenger.]( We already had the first poll showing Lucas and Hawley in a dead heat, but just days after major victories for red-state Democrats and abortion rights in Kentucky and Ohio, we got something we didn’t expect — another new public poll confirming that Lucas and Hawley are in a statistical tie for Missouri’s U.S. Senate seat. [St. Louis Post-Dispatch headline: New poll touts Lucas Kunce's chance of upsetting Josh Hawley. Two polls beneath. Poll 1: Lucas Kunce 43%, Josh Hawley 44%, Margin of Error +/- 3% | Poll 2: Lucas Kunce 42%, Josh Hawley 46%, Margin of Error 4.9%]( Lucas earned major endorsements from critical in-state organizations throughout the last 12 months, including the Missouri AFL-CIO and the Missouri Fire Fighters, who threw their support behind Lucas earlier than they ever had before for a Senate challenger. But these new polls put a national spotlight on our race, and key organizations like End Citizens United // Let America Vote and League of Conservation Voters officially weighed in on our race by endorsing Lucas: [On the left: The League of Conservation Voters endorses Lucas Kunce for U.S. Senate in 2024. On the right: End Citizens United just endorsed Lucas Kunce for U.S. Senate]( Meanwhile, Hawley’s approval polling — which was already pretty dismal — continued to get even worse. The latest reporting from Morning Consult confirmed that Hawley remains the least popular GOP U.S. Senator up for re-election this year, with numbers even lower than Senators Ted Cruz in Texas and Rick Scott in Florida. [Approval Ratings | U.S. Senate — Public Polling By Morning Consult of 2024 GOP Senate Incumbents — Ted Cruz (TX): 48%, March 2022 | 48%, July 2023 | 48%, October 2023 — Rick Scott (FL): 49%, March 2022 | 47%, July 2023 | 46%, October 2023 — Josh Hawley (MO): 46%, March 2022 | 44%, July 2023, 43%, October 2023]( Now, it’s January 2024, and we’re on track to have one of our best months yet. We started off with a bang by holding Josh Hawley accountable on the three-year anniversary of his infamous cowardice on January 6th. Then, with the announcement of a new ballot initiative to enshrine abortion rights in Missouri, we harnessed the energy of our grassroots movement and raised thousands of dollars to help Missourians for Constitutional Freedom get off the ground. [NEW from NBC NEWS: Missouri abortion rights groups launch effort to place constitutional amendment on the 2024 ballot. Subtitle: In the 19 months since that ruling, abortion-rights advocates have won every race in which the issue has appeared directly on the ballot.]( Our grassroots momentum is undeniable. That’s why national insiders and corporate elites have already spent BIG to prop up Hawley’s campaign. They know Lucas isn’t afraid to stand up to their broken status quo — and they know that Lucas’ message is exactly what we need to take back power for working families in this election. But I’ll be honest, {NAME}. As we await Q4 reports to be filed with the FEC on the last day of this month, I’m getting nervous about what we’ll see on Hawley’s report. Those pro-Hawley DC insiders made significant investments into our race last year, through transfers to Hawley’s campaign and through a brand new Super PAC they’ve already funded with more than $1 MILLION. And after our campaign gained so much momentum, we know they’re only going to ramp up their spending and attacks. It has never been more important for our campaign to stay prepared. That’s why today, I’m reaching out to ask you to contribute to our most aggressive monthly goal yet — $300,000 raised online before the end of January. [Can Lucas count on you to chip in a donation of any amount right now to help us reach this goal, fight back against the insiders trying to buy this seat, and defeat Josh Hawley this November? This is our chance to take Missouri’s U.S. Senate seat back for working families — and we can’t afford to waste it.]( If you've stored your info with ActBlue Express, we'll process your contribution instantly: [Contribute $10]( [Contribute $25]( [Contribute $30]( [Contribute $50]( [Contribute $100]( [Contribute $250]( [Give another amount]( Thank you for taking action when it matters most, {NAME}.
