Abortion wins in red states across the country. Missouri is next. [Lucas Kunce for U.S. Senate] {NAME} — after the fall of Roe v. Wade last year, voters in Kansas made their state the first in the nation to protect abortion access. During the 2022 midterms, voters in Kentucky rejected an amendment to their state constitution that would have limited reproductive freedom. On top of that, they even re-elected their Democratic governor earlier this year. And last month, Ohio became the latest state to protect access to abortion. This issue is winning in red states across the country — and Missouri is next. [Tweet from Lucas that reads: We'll make sure Missourians remember this when they vote next year. This tweet is in response to a tweet from Josh Hawley that reads: Roe v Wade is one of the worst constitutional decisions in American history. It has claimed 61 million innocent lives, and counting. I will only support Supreme Court nominees who have acknowledged on record it was wrongly decided]( [DEFEAT JOSH HAWLEY: CHIP IN →]( Here in Missouri, Josh Hawley has made banning abortion a family business. He celebrated when our state became first in the nation to fully outlaw abortion access after Roe was overturned — even in cases of rape or incest. And even more recently, Hawley used his position in the Senate to team up with his wife and a corporate judge who donated to his 2018 campaign to ban the most commonly used abortion pill in all 50 states: [JEZEBEL: Let's Look at Senator Josh Hawley's Connections to the Abortion Pill Case. Excerpt: Judge Matthew Kacsmaryk donated to Hawley's campaign in 2018... Hawley is sworn in as senator in early 2019 and votes to confirm Kacsmaryk in June 2019 (the vote was 52 to 46). A few months after the Supreme Court overturned Roe, activists represented by ADF file the abortion pill suit in Kacsmaryk's single-judge district. Hawley's wife is part of the ADF team to argue the case before Kacsmaryk in March 2023. Kacsmaryk then rules in favor of Hawley's wife. And, finally, Hawley signs on to a Supreme Court amicus brief supporting his wife's case...]( Josh Hawley is terrified because he hasn’t just opposed reproductive freedom at every stage — he has been an integral part of the extremist crusade to ban abortion. And he knows we’re going to make sure Missouri voters know that before they head to the polls next November. [So {NAME}, will you rush a donation of any amount to my campaign today so we can defeat Josh Hawley and secure abortion rights in Missouri and nationwide? Your support right now will help us get this message in front of voters across our state in the moments that matter most.]( If you've stored your info with ActBlue Express, we'll process your contribution instantly: [Contribute $10]( [Contribute $25]( [Contribute $30]( [Contribute $50]( [Contribute $100]( [Contribute $250]( [Give another amount]( Together, we can take back our power from control-obsessed elites like Josh Hawley and finally put real, everyday people in charge of our country.
