Lovely News: 2023 year in review DECEMBER 2023 Dear LovelySkin Customers and Schlessinger MD Patient

Lovely News: 2023 year in review [LovelySkin]( [Brands]( [Skin Care]( [Makeup]( [Hair Care]( [Sale]( DECEMBER 2023 [Lovely News: 2023 year in review]( [LovelySkin employees visit the new distribution center plus much more excitement in 2023 - Play video]( Dear LovelySkin Customers and Schlessinger MD Patients, As 2023 closes, I want to thank each one of our LovelySkin customers and SchlessingerMD patients for their support this year and over the years. We are so deeply appreciative of your incredible support, and I can’t thank you enough. It has been a busy year for us, with much of the attention going to the new, 75,000 square foot facility we are building for LovelySkin. We broke ground in June and it is expected to be finished around August of 2024, which is quite exciting! This new facility will allow us to bring on more brands and offer better services for you. This year has been exceptionally busy for our teams at LovelySkin and the dermatology clinic. We are delighted to share that we achieved a remarkable feat by winning a record nine 'Best of Omaha' awards, a distinction no other business in Omaha has ever attained. Additionally, we proudly received recognition as one of Newsweek's Top Websites for Health and Beauty, and for the 12th consecutive year, we were honored with the prestigious Bizrate Platinum Circle of Excellence designation. We are thrilled our antioxidant serum, the LovelySkin LUXE VITA-CE with Ferulic Acid, had a record year and became a website bestseller and customer favorite. Furthermore, we have established the foundation for the expansion of FixMySkin 1% Hydrocortisone Healing Balm—an invention and development by my son, Dr. Daniel Schlessinger, and myself—into Canada, marking our inaugural venture into the international market! We never take your loyalty or support for granted, and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. [Photo collage of employees celebrating the holiday season, new distribution center and more] [Photo collage of employees celebrating Halloween and July 4th] Updates to LovelySkin in 2023 The most exciting updates we brought to LovelySkin this year were the ability to pay via Apple Pay, Google Pay, Klarna and Afterpay. In addition, we implemented a much more intuitive search engine within the site, a [new product finder]( for dry skin, an ‘Order Delivered’ email notification (text confirmation coming soon!) and new delivery options. Specifically, we integrated FedEx shipping alongside USPS to allow for quicker deliveries on Saturdays, which started just this past month. New brands we added this year include Augustinus Bader, Dr. Barbara Sturm, ReVive, COSMEDIX, Kate Somerville, Luzern and 13 others. We are thrilled to have added these brands and look forward to bringing you several new, exciting brands in the coming year! Our reach around the world and involvement in the industry continues to grow, while we maintain the family orientation that’s so important to us. Our store staff continue to excel at their work, and we have added new team members to help assist and educate customers. Nancy and I once again packed orders over Black Friday weekend, alongside our staff. It was truly special and allowed us to understand the dedication and excellence of our staff, who efficiently send out more than 1.4 million orders yearly. We hit milestones of amounts of orders picked and packed on Black Friday, which allowed those orders to get to you more quickly and the teams that worked (including yours truly and Nancy), were delighted to be part of the celebrations. Our team is also committed to helping others. Nancy and I continued to contribute to local and national charities and participated in the March for Israel this year in Washington, DC. This winter we put together Christmas gifts for families in need, including the donation of the Barbie Dreamhouse we used in Leo and Mischief’s [“Not-So-Scary” Halloween video]( to children in need. All departments pitched in, and the effort was very successful. We are so proud of our employees for generously donating their time and money. Leo, Mischief, and Pepper travel from LovelyLand to the real world to pick up an online order, encountering a few real-world surprises along the way. [Watch Video]( Updates to Schlessinger MD in 2023 The most exciting part of my year as a dermatologist was the ability to have my son, Dr. Daniel Schlessinger, shadow me for the month of April, before he started his Mohs surgery and cosmetic dermatology fellowship at Northwestern University. It truly was a dream come true and I loved having the ability to teach, as well as learn, from Daniel. [Dr. Joel Schlessinger and his son, Dr. Daniel Schlessinger] At our always busy dermatology and cosmetic surgery clinic, we navigated a dynamic year attending to a robust patient base, surpassing 20,000 appointments. We also introduced SKINVIVE™ by Juvederm®, a cutting-edge skin booster cosmetic product, and Volux, enhancing our offerings to our valued patients. Meanwhile, our dedicated research center remains busy, researching innovative solutions for a spectrum of dermatological concerns, including vitiligo, unwanted fat, alopecia areata, acne, psoriasis, and more. Notably, our facility played a role in the clinical studies of virtually every newly approved dermatological treatment in 2023. Of special pride are our contributions to advancing much needed medications for hidradenitis suppurativa through Cosentyx® and extensive alopecia areata through LITFULO™. Other noteworthy studies include taltz®, Stelara® and topical VTAMA® for psoriasis, as well as CIBINQO™ for atopic dermatitis and DAXXIFY® for wrinkles. On a personal note, I am grateful and honored to have been voted as the Best Dermatologist and Best Cosmetic Surgeon in Omaha for the 13th and 25th consecutive year, respectively. Additionally, being named a 2023 New Beauty Top Doctor and 2023 Verified Expert Injector is always an honor. [Photo collage of the Schlessinger family and their dogs] A year to remember for the Schlessinger family Daniel, our dermatologist son, is in his combined Mohs surgery and cosmetic surgery fellowship at Northwestern University, where he is studying with two of his greatest mentors, Dr. Murad Alam and Dr. Simon Yoo. He and his wife, Steffi, who works in finance, and their mini Aussiedoodle dog, Mischief, are enjoying their time in Chicago, while Daniel fine tunes his already remarkable skills. Our daughter, Claire, has enjoyed working for the New York Times cooking section as a technical product manager. She is active in the union and loves helping fellow employees with representation as a union assistant. Her rescue dog, a pug named Garbanzo, continues to be incredibly loving while enjoying the streets of New York and the various smells they offer. Leo, our beautiful pug dog, is as sassy and delightful as ever. He loved costarring with his cousin, Mischief (and Pepper, another friend) in the [Halloween “Not-So-Scary” Barbie and Ken video]( this year. I won’t say more but instead, will encourage you to watch the two-minute video if you haven’t already. I think you will enjoy it. Nancy continues to amaze me with all she can handle both at LovelySkin and in her philanthropic work. She is now the President of our local Jewish Federation in Omaha and constantly amazes me with her ability to connect people and listen. Nancy has an amazing gift of being able to bring together people from many different viewpoints and help lead everyone to a better place. Lastly, my parents, June and Bernie, continue to be a huge source of strength and a compass for us. They are celebrating their 71st anniversary this week and my mom celebrates her 90th birthday as well, which is a joyful event for us. Aside from executing on the new distribution facility for LovelySkin, my hobbies have broadened to include being chief navigator and grill master when we traveled in our Airstream to South Dakota and Michigan, among many things. I still enjoy working out on the Peloton (and even got to take a live class at the Peloton Studio in NYC this year!) and have enjoyed being on the neighborhood homeowner’s association as well. I feel incredibly fortunate to have a full life with friends and family alike, including all of you! [Photo collage of the Schlessinger family] Here's to 2024 For the year ahead, we hope to continue to delight and surprise you, our valued customer, with new brands and new innovations for the website. As always, we hope you have a wonderful holiday season and a healthy, happy 2024! Thanks ever so much for your support. It is deeply appreciated.
