The Kahn collection is primarily comprised of monochromes in exquisite, vibrant colors in time-honored, traditional shapes, created in the prominent Ching-te-chen and Te-hua factories. The collection was later augmented with bronzes and Tou-ts’ai pieces. [Chinese Monochrome Lemon Yellow Dish]( Lot 1472 is a very rare piece of Chinese porcelain from the Qianlong Era because lemon yellow color could only be used by the Emperor in 1739. [BID ON THIS ITEM]( [A French 7.00 ctw Art Deco Diamond Bracelet in Platinum]( This Art deco diamond bracelet is a classic bold geometric design that combines 7.00 ctw of round and baguette diamonds with French hallmarks. [BID ON THIS ITEM]( [Leon Spilliaert, Fillettes Sur la Jetee, watercolor]( Leon Spilliaert was a famous Belgian artist of the Symbolism/expressionism movement. A mostly self-taught artist, he battled insomnia which saw him roam the streets of Oostende, Belgium, late at night. These night scenes of the ocean appear in his work as almost alien landscapes with solitary forms, usually a waiting woman. This significant work has never been to auction, comes from the Estate of Maria Regina Breves Barringer, Fairfax, VA, and has remained in the family collection.
