Important update awaits: Discover the latest news. [Linotype]( Linoletter Special The Future of Linotype We want to share important news with you. Dear Customer, As part of a consolidation of its online offerings, the Monotype Group has decided to discontinue the operation of Monotype GmbH's online store LinoType, effective 28.03.2024, and to transfer/novate* this business unit in its entirety to MyFonts Inc. of 600 Unicorn Park Drive, Woburn, MA 01801 - also a company of the Monotype Group. This decision will allow us to focus our engineering, UX, and digital efforts on delivering the very best online experience that aligns with the latest technological advancements and leads the industry in the future of type use. In the course of this transfer, your previous LinoType account, including your order history and related customer data, shall be migrated to a new account on MyFonts, so that you can continue to access your data and purchase fonts online in the future. We base this on a legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 letter f GDPR. You can object to the transfer of your customer data pursuant to Art. 21 (1) GDPR. To do so, simply click on the following link below and activate the opt-out checkbox on the landing page by 23.02.2024 at the latest. However, your LinoType account, your order history and your associated customer data will then be deleted for data protection reasons at the latest when LinoType.com is shut down, with the exception of data relating to perpetual licenses that you have acquired. It will take approximately 4-6 weeks to complete the transfer of your data and creation of a new MyFonts account. We will be working closely with key individuals from LinoType’s history to create and host content on MyFonts which carries their type stories onto the next step of the brands’ journey; celebrating their past, honoring them in the present, and preserving their legacy and stories for the future generations. [Click here if you want to opt-out]( *A novation is a mechanism by which the parties to an agreement (in this case, the license agreements/EULAs you have entered into) can quickly and efficiently replace one or more parties to that agreement without disrupting the normal flow of business and without having to enter into a new agreement. The content of your license agreements (EULAs) will not change - only Monotype GmbH will be replaced by MyFonts Inc. as licensor and contractual partner. The scope of the license, warranty, liability and applicable law etc. remain unchanged. The novation shall become effective as of 28.03.2024.
