[LifeNews] LifeNews.com Pro-Life News Report Sunday, October 13, 2022 Dear LifeNews Readers, If you're like me, you're very disappointed with Tuesday's election results. I expected a strong red wave nationwide -- with Americans understanding that our nation is headed in the wrong direction and voting that way on Election Day. But the results were very different. And on abortion we faced some tough losses. Every single ballot measure across the country went in the pro-abortion direction. States legalized abortions up to birth, claimed there is a right to kill babies in abortions and even allow infanticide, where babies who survive abortions can be left to die. Why? The anger over the Dobbs decision certainly played a role, as pro-abortion voters came out in force to protest the Supreme Court's decision to overturn Roe. But the biggest reasons for the defeats were money and LIES! They LIED over and over and over again. The pro-abortion movement is funded by liberal billionaires and Hollywood elite who threw millions at these ballot amendments. They spent $60 million to legalize abortions up to birth in Michigan and overturn every pro-life law. You couldn't watch television in Michigan without seeing an ad talking about how Proposition 3 would promote "women's health care." They told lie after lie after lie in their ads about what the amendment would do -- and their money and lies definitely bought them votes from confused voters who thought the amendment must not be that bad. They outspent us in Kentucky by at least a 5-1 margin and flooded the state with lies that banning abortions would kill women, deprive women of medical care, and claiming women would be put in jail for miscarriages. All lies. They dwarfed our spending in California and outspent us by big margins in Montana and Vermont and told more and more lies. In total, abortion advocates spent well over $400 million on the elections -- buying ballot votes, buying House and Senate races, buying the whole election. But they're not done. They're already putting together more ballot amendments to legalize abortions up to birth in more states. They're fundraising to stop or overturn abortion bans elsewhere. They're planning more pro-abortion laws to kill more babies in abortions. LifeNews desperately needs your help. We have so many battles ahead of us and we need your donation to fight them. We have to stop the lies! We have to fight these pro-aboriton ballot measures. We have to fight their pro-abortion legislation. We have to fight to change hearts and minds on abortion. And we have to fight to pass more pro-life laws next year to save as many babies from abortion as possible. But we can't do any of this without you.
