[Image] Discovering Your True Goals When External Motivation Lags... Look Inward Hello, In our last emails, we explored growth prompts for shifting perspectives when facing problems. Today let’s look at self-discovery prompts that reveal deeper personal truths from within. When External Motivation Lags... Look Inward I remember pushing hard growing my first company, thrilled hitting goals. But over time, motivation lagged. Achievements felt hollow. I was running fast externally, but my inner compass felt off-kilter. In exploring resources, we discovered thoughtful prompts creating space for internal clarity (which we've added to the [LifeHack All-Access growth prompts library]() Questions like: "What activities make me lose track of time?" As I journaled, I realized that while ambition drives me, connecting deeply with others is core. I had neglected that in a rush "upwards." This prompted me to join a founder’s collective for camaraderie. My days regained meaning. As my experience illustrates, looking inward using self-discovery prompts can unlock lost purpose when external motivation lags. I’d suggest starting with an insightful prompt: “If I cleared space for reflection, what do I really want my days to feel like?” Set a timer and journal freely from a place of simple noticing without judgment first. Then identify 1-2 core desires that surface for you. Stay tuned for prompts on optimizing daily rhythms. And on days you feel directionless, pause to check if your inner compass points to fulfillment.
