Back in the day, It wasn't easy for me to stay focused . In fact, it was quite a challenge. Distracting thoughts would always come and fill my mind. There were so many thoughts inside my head that staying focused was almost impossible. My brain was always in serious overdrive. One moment, I could've been trying to solve a very important problem. Next, I would be thinking about why I hadn't seen that childhood friend I hadn't spoken to in a while. It didn't matter if I was busy with something important. It didn't matter if I had to remain focused for whatever reason. My mind would always default to paying attention to those distracting thoughts. It was like if a thousand distractions would come to steal my focus and derail me from the task I had. It was quite overwhelming, to be honest. It got to a point where it seriously started affecting my productivity. I just couldn't stay focused for a long time. I couldn't finish my projects on time. Every task I was assigned would take me twice the time others would. Even finishing the most simple tasks would require a huge effort from me. My brain was just overloaded trying to do the task at hand and processing all these other stuff on the back-end. All that mental clutter just didn't allow me to stay focused and productive. It got so serious my supervisor at the time gave me a fair warning. Either I become a more productive employee or I was out. That was it. I needed to do something about this... Otherwise, I would end up losing my job. But... what could I do? What could I do to overcome these distractions and use my brainpower more productively? The first step was to declutter my mind. Let me explain. Whenever a distracting thought came to my mind, my brain immediately got on "autopilot". My attention would immediately deviate from where it was. And that needed to stop. I couldn't just keep getting distracted every time a new thought came to my mind. I had to learn to fight this impulse and eliminate distractions from my mind. So, I decided to try something... Whenever a new distracting thought came, I would make a conscious decision to stay focused on the task I was working on. No more thinking about what I would do on the weekend. No more remembering that Netflix series I watched a few days ago. I would avoid all interruptions and use all my brain resources on what needed to be done. Now, this wasn't easy at first, . I had to learn to get rid of all the clutter and focus my attention on a specific task. But... you know what happened next? Once I decluttered my mind, getting focused became so much easier. I didn't have to fight against a thousand distractions at a time. I was able to overcome them once they appeared. I was free to give all my focus and attention to where I wanted to put it. With that taken care of, I became so much more productive. It became so much easier to give my best results. I started delivering my projects on time and with outstanding quality. I even got a promotion for such good work! This was all possible because I decluttered my mind. Now, let me ask you a question . Do you feel you're always struggling to stay focused amongst a million thoughts in your head? Do you know you can be more productive but these thoughts are stopping you? If the answer to both of these questions is YES, then I have something that will help you. It's a course I created called [Laser Focus With A Purpose](.
