How do I know? Because that was me 10 years ago. I was a software developer back then... Â Â , You have a steady job that pays the bills. You earn more than enough to provide for your family and supply their needs. Still, something's not quite right. And you know it. Deep inside, you're not passionate about what you do anymore. That enthusiasm you used to have is gone. Maybe you spend your time at your job just staring at the clock. Waiting until your day is over. How do I know this? Because that was me 10 years ago. I was a software developer back then, and had a great job with a great salary. Still, I know deep down something was off. I didn't have the passion I used to have when I started my job. It was a great job with amazing benefits and opportunities for growth. Still, that didn't make me feel any better. Inside, I just felt empty. Like something was missing... Over time, that feeling just got worse. It got to a point where I didn't want to get out of bed in the morning anymore. I couldn't remember the last time I woke up happy because I had to go to work. I felt burnt out and completely unhappy. Like my life had no purpose. Like I wasn't doing anything meaningful. I just felt this huge void inside that I couldn't fill with anything. I knew I had to do something about it. I just couldn't continue like this anymore... So, I started considering what options I could take... I had to ask myself some tough questions. Was I really happy at my job? Was I doing this because I was passionate about my job or just for a paycheck? You know what the answer was? No. That's when it hit me. It was time now. I needed to seek a new challenge. I realized the reason I was feeling like that was that it was time to do something new. Something that pushed my limits and made me feel alive again. At my corporate job, I had accomplished a lot. I had given my all and met incredible people along the way. However, it was time to let go, and move on. I was ready for the next level. I had been working on an online business for a while then, and it was time to make something out of it. This was not an easy decision to make, . But, if I wanted to be happy, I needed to pursue my dreams. So, I switched careers and started working on my business full-time. It was Lifehack, a website where I shared all the things I had learned on motivation and productivity. I didn't feel prepared. But I did it anyway. I just knew I was doing the right thing. When I did that, I started feeling happy again. All that frustration was a thing of the past... I recovered my sense of purpose in life. I stopped feeling frustrated. And the results were amazing! My business started growing exponentially. Before, it was a small blog on personal development & productivity. But it grew to become one of the biggest motivational websites on the internet, with a global audience of over 20 million readers worldwide. And it all started by asking myself some hard questions and being honest with myself. Now, it's your turn to ask yourself those questions. Maybe you're in the situation I was in, and you're wondering if it's time to choose a different career path. If that's you, then I have a gift for you. It's a free book I wrote called Discover New Lights for a Midlife Career Change. Inside this book, you'll find a quick Self Assessment that will let you know if your career no longer matches with you.
