Hi there, Failure. Defeat. The end. These are just some of the words that we think about when our lives come crashing down on us. It's true that when we're faced with setbacks and failure, we often find ourselves lost in that moment...where everything around us is suddenly blocked out because in that moment, all we can think about, is the failure or 'mess' we've found ourselves in.  But failure has a purpose. There’s a reason that we fail in life, a reason why we're met with these challenges. It's just that when we’re in the midst of the pain, we oftentimes can’t see that bigger picture. Perhaps in the situation that you're in right now, whilst trying to break free from the limitations, you're also overwhelmed by fear, uncertainty and might be on the verge of giving up, because of the constant failures that seem to come your way. But let's not look at failure for all it's negative connotation, unhappiness or challenges that it brings you. Instead let's accept the failure that life has dealt us with, but do not dwell in it. Because failure helps to build and breed a foundation for a future filled with success. It’s through our failures that we make deeper insights into life. And then there's fear that often comes hand in hand with failure. Why do we fear? Usually, it's caused by the anticipation of some sort of negative experience or outcome, or of the unknown. Because you're not entirely sure what may happen, you don't know how to prepare yourself, and that's where the fear kicks in! Unfortunately, fear can end up constraining you by keeping you within your comfort zone. It can cause you to avoid things that hold the risk of failure...rather than face your problems, and it's also the source of anxiety and stress. Fear also pushes you to focus on external objects. When you're afraid, you may start to compare yourself with others as a reflection of your self worth. You may also latch onto other people or things in order to get a sense of security. As I've shared in the last few days, your perception of things can shape outcomes differently. Your limitations, your trends... and yes, your fears... they all start from your perspective! Once you learn to accept failure, and understand that it's a lesson that you can learn in life to grow, you'll find yourself moving away from that failure and onto something new. What went wrong? What could you have done differently? Can you avoid making the same mistakes in the future? By reflecting on what happened, you can find new opportunities within those failures to get yourself going on a new path.  It's the same with fear. At the end of the day, it's defined by yourself, and that's why different people have different fears. But deep down, fear is caused by something missing inside of you - an inner strength that is lacking within you. What is it? It's the lack of having a strong purpose. A strong purpose is the strength of intention behind taking an action. It means knowing why you're doing something and how meaningful that "why" is to you. So the stronger your purpose, the less power fear has over you. Remember, we all have our fears, and go through different degrees of failure in life because that's how we know we're growing and moving forward for the better in life.
