As we step into the festive season, our steadfast commitment to being "Big on Quality, Lidl on Price" really comes to the fore. You’ll find outstanding seasonal products in our Christmas range – that have won over 40 independent taste tests this year alone – for a fraction of the cost of traditional retailers. But don’t just take our word for it. Consumer champion Which? recently revealed that the traditional full-price supermarkets can be up to £16.50 more expensive than Lidl on a basket of 44 everyday grocery items. We’ve frozen the prices on your Christmas dinner essentials, including five of our most popular vegetables, to just 19p each - available in-store from 18th December. It's our way of ensuring that everyone can indulge in fresh, affordable food this Christmas. Those looking for a little indulgence can enjoy the return of our bestselling Deluxe Panettone Classico – Good Housekeeping Institute Taste Approved for 2023 – alongside our Montaudon Champagne (£14.99), which recently beat Moët in a series of blind taste tests. We are continuing to support the communities we serve through our charitable initiatives. We have brought back our Toy Bank scheme, which last year saw our customers donate 80,000 toys – thank you to everyone who contributed. In addition, throughout December we’re expecting to donate over 750,000 meals to the 1,500 charities we support across the country. None of what we do would be possible without the commitment of our colleagues across Great Britain, and I thank them for their continued hard work and dedication. On behalf of everyone at Lidl, I extend my warmest wishes to you and your families for a very merry Christmas and a happy New Year.
