The reality of the situation

{NAME}, I recently had a meeting with my finance director and the reality of the situation is a bit alarming. After a fantastic effort from this team in August, grassroots fundraising has slowed down rapidly. That’s bad news, especially just after a quarter where our celebrity GOP opponent outraised us by $1.2 million. At midnight, we will hit our critical midnight fundraising deadline, which will set the tone for our campaign's capacity to get out the vote with less than 65 days until the election.
