We recently celebrated Trans Day of Visibility, a moment to celebrate the growing representation of transgender people in business, the arts, and politics. We’ve come a long way since I was a kid. Growing up, I never imagined that I would one day serve in my state’s legislature as my authentic self. Trans people are increasingly present in state legislatures and city councils across the country. But despite how far we’ve come, there remains no out transgender person in Congress. At a time when trans people are facing unprecedented attacks from far-right extremists like Marjorie Taylor Greene, there is no transgender person in the U.S. House to stand up to them. This campaign can change that. YOU can change that. [Can you pitch in $25 or anything you can to power our historic campaign for Congress?]( Listen, we have a real shot at winning and finally shattering this national lavender glass ceiling. We’re leading in the polls, but we know that right‑wing donors are lining up to try to defeat this campaign. They don’t want a trans person in Congress, let alone someone with a proven record of getting things done. This deadline is our opportunity to show that Republican donors won’t stop us. [Please consider making a donation of any amount to help us finally elect an out trans person to Congress and to take trans visibility to the next level… precisely when we need it most.]( Together, we can show LGBTQ young people that our democracy is big enough for all of us. Thank you for all you do for equality and opportunity for all, Sarah McBride Thank you for supporting Equality PAC, the political arm of the Congressional LGBTQ Equality Caucus and dedicated to the full legal and societal equality for LGBTQ Americans.
