Cowboys [TY Hilton] TNF: Cowboys beat Titans 27-13, despite sloppy first-half Sloppy Win: Dallas was able to overcome three first-half turnovers by Dak Prescott (2 interceptions, 1 fumble). - Prescott is now tied for the league lead in interceptions (14) â even though he missed five games earlier in the season. Offensive Standouts: CeeDee Lamb (11-100) and Dalton Schultz (7-56-2) were standouts in the passing game. Undrafted rookie RB Malik Davis (62 scrimmage yards on 12 touches) had a productive night in place of Tony Pollard (thigh). Key Injury: Cowboys starting center Tyler Biadasz was carted off with what appeared to be a serious lower leg injury. NFC East: If the Eagles lose to the Saints on Sunday, then the Cowboys can clinch the NFC East in Week 18 with a win over the Commanders and an Eaglesâ loss to the Giants. - If the Eagles beat the Saints, then Dallas will be locked into the No. 5 seed and have nothing to play for next week. Dobbs: Joshua Dobbs (20/39, 232, 1, 1) got the start for Tennessee and played well, considering he joined the team about a week ago. Big Showdown: The Titans (7-9) can still win the AFC South with a victory over the Jaguars next week. Expect Dobbs to draw the start. Image: @dallascowboys on Instagram Tua [Tua Tagovailoa] Mike McDaniel does not know if Tua Tagovailoa will return this season Background: Tagovailoa has suffered at least two concussions since September, which has led to speculation that he could be shut down for the remainder of the season. - Tagovailoa is currently in the concussion protocol and is not expected to play in Sundayâs game against the Patriots. McDaniel: When asked if Tagovailoa will return this season, McDaniel [said]( that medical professionals are taking a day-to-day approach and that Tuaâs health is the âfirst, foremost and only priority." - He did not offer a return timeline. Bridgewater: Teddy Bridgewater will serve as the starter for the time being. The 30-year-old backup has completed 63.8% of his passes for 522 yards, 3 touchdowns, and 3 interceptions in two extended appearances this season. Standings: Miami (8-7) is currently in possession of the AFCâs No. 7 seed â but can easily fall out of the playoff picture with losses to close out the season. Remaining opponents include the Patriots (7-8) and Jets (7-8). Image: Bob Kupbens/Icon Sportswire Carr [Derek Carr] Commanders, Saints, Jets, Falcons, and Bucs among possibilities for Derek Carr Details: The [list]( of teams comes from The Athletic. All five will need a quarterback upgrade in 2023 and are unlikely to pick high enough in the draft to land a top prospect. - The thinking is that Carr will cost a second-round pick plus some combination of day three picks.
- Itâs worth noting that Carr has a no-trade clause, so he will have a say in where he lands. Commanders: Washington is probably the ideal fit for Carr, given the teamâs base of young offensive talent â Terry McLaurin, Jahan Dotson, Brian Robinson, etc. The Commanders also have a top-10 caliber defense, which is something Carr never had the privilege of playing with as a Raider. Saints: The Saints donât own a first-round pick, so acquiring a veteran upgrade will be an offseason priority. Carr would allow the Saints to get the most out of talented playmakers like Alvin Kamara and Chris Olave. Jets: The Jets are similar to the Commanders, in that they have a talented cast of offensive players (Garrett Wilson, Breece Hall, Elijah Moore) and a top-tier defense. The issue could be limited cap space and a possible preference for Jimmy Garoppolo. Falcons: Arthur Smith will likely be coaching for his job next year and may not want to risk it all with Desmond Ridder at quarterback. The Falcons will be flush with cap space and can offer Carr the opportunity to play with Kyle Pitts, Drake London, and Tyler Allgeier. Bucs: Carr would be a nice fallback if Tampa loses Tom Brady in the offseason. Carr could thrive in an offense featuring Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, and Leonard Fournette. Image: Brian Rothmuller/Icon Sportswire Bosa [Joey Bosa] Joey Bosa has returned to practice Details: Bosa practiced on Thursday for the first time since tearing his groin in Week 3. - The 4x Pro Bowler has been designated to return from IR and could suit up on Sunday. Revitalized: Bosa told reporters that he feels revitalized and can now move and bend [without]( pain for the first time in years. Impact: The Chargers will need a productive pass rush to beat the likes of Joe Burrow, Patrick Mahomes, and Josh Allen in the playoffs. The edge duo of Bosa and Khalil Mack should wreak havoc. - Mack â who leads the Chargers with 8 sacks â should face less double teams with Bosa back in the fold. Image: Scott Winters/Icon Sportswire O'Brien [Bill O'Brien] Alabama OC Bill OâBrien eying an NFL return Details: Albert Breer thinks OâBrien â who has a âdesire to get back to the NFLâ â could garner offensive coordinator [interest]( from the Patriots, Titans, and Raiders. Patriots: Breer expects owner Robert Kraft to prioritize a play caller upgrade in the offseason, as the Matt Patricia experiment hasnât gone well. OâBrien has a background with the Patriots (on the staff from 2007-2013) and his experience at Alabama makes him a good fit for Mac Jones. Titans: The Titans could move on from OC Todd Downing, considering the teamâs offensive struggles this season. OâBrien is close with Mike Vrabel and could help usher in a new quarterback. - Tennessee can get out of Ryan Tannehillâs contract after the season. Raiders: Breer has heard that the Raiders have an interest in OâBrien as well. - OâBrien and Josh McDaniels coached together in New England and could help lure Tom Brady to Vegas. Image: Matthew Visinsky/Icon Sportswire Deebo [Deebo Samuel] Deebo Samuel has returned to practice Details: Samuel practiced on Thursday for the first time since suffering knee and ankle injuries in Week 14. No Rush: The 49ers have already clinched the NFC West and are unlikely to rush Samuel back into action. His return to practice is more about preparation for the [playoffs]( than the regular season. More 49ers News: - Nick Bosa has 1 sack or more in 12 games this season.
- RB Elijah Moore could [return]( in Week 18.
- The 49ers can move up to the No. 2 seed in Week 17 with a win over the Raiders and a Vikings' loss to the Packers. Image: Rich von Biberstein/Icon Sportswire More News - [Eagles]( QB Jalen Hurts (shoulder) got in a limited practice session; status for Sunday remains unclear
