Week 9 review + a big Odell update ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ November 07, 2022 [Sign up]( [Legit Football]( Together With: Stathead [Run Your Pool](  Raiders [Davante Adams] Raiders locker room on edge after third blown lead of the season Record: The Raiders blew a 17-point lead to the Jaguars on Sunday — the third time they’ve blown a 17-point or more lead this season (which ties an NFL record). Davante: Davante Adams was [very frustrated]( after the loss and questioned the team’s strategy in the second half of the game... - "There is a lot I want to say, you know, but if I'm honest, I don't need to say it here. There are things that will be said [internally] ... things in house that we'll talk about man to man and all that kind of stuff that could be addressed." Odd: Adams caught 9-of-9 targets for 146 yards and 2 touchdowns in the first half of the game. But in the second half, he was limited to just 1 catch on 8 targets for 0 yards. Locker Room: After the game, DE Maxx Crosby (a team leader) said he had “no idea” if there was a silver lining to take away from the game. While WR Hunter Renfrow said the goal, for now, is to “not walk around like it’s a funeral.” Not Good: Any hopes the Raiders (2-6) had of the playoffs were likely extinguished with the loss. Josh McDaniels now has a 7-23 career record as a head coach. Future: Unless the Raiders find some momentum in the second half of the season, a QB change/rebuild could be coming in 2023. Image: David Rosenblum/Icon Sportswire Bucs [Brady] Bucs end losing streak; beat Rams 16-13 GWD: Tom Brady engineered a 6-play, 60-yard game-winning drive in 35 seconds. He hit tight end Cade Otton for a [touchdown]( with nine seconds remaining. - Otton, a third-round rookie, led the team in receiving yards with 68. Historic: Earlier in the game, Brady became the first quarterback in NFL history to reach 100,000 career passing yards (regular season and postseason combined). - Brady also passed Peyton Manning for the most game-winning drives in NFL history (55). Streak Over: The win ended the Bucs' three-game losing streak. It was also Brady’s first-ever victory over Sean McVay. NFC South: Tampa (4-5) is back on top of the NFC South. They lead the Falcons (4-5), Saints (3-5), and Panthers (2-7). Germany: The Bucs will take on the Seahawks, in Munich Germany, next Sunday (kickoff at 9:30 am ET). Image: Cliff Welch/Icon Sportswire OBJ [Odell Beckham Jr.] Odell Beckham Jr. will be fully cleared by the end of the week Details: Jay Glazer is reporting that Beckham, who tore his ACL in the Super Bowl, will be [fully cleared]( by the end of this week. Bidding War: Glazer thinks there is going to be a “big bidding war” for Beckham's services. He specifically mentioned the Bills, 49ers, Cowboys, and Rams as teams in contention. - 49ers GM John Lynch acknowledged interest in Beckham last week. Cowboys? The Cowboys have been quietly linked to Beckham for months now. Ian Rapoport mentioned on Sunday that Dallas is [in the mix]( for the 3x Pro Bowler. - Rapoport also revealed that the receiver-hungry Cowboys tried to land Jerry Jeudy and Brandin Cooks at the deadline line week. Packers Out? Beckham will only join a Super Bowl contender, which likely means the Packers (3-6) are no longer a serious threat to sign him. Bucs Out? The Bucs were mentioned as a potential fit by Adam Schefter last week — but were notably left out of Glazer’s report. Image: Cliff Welch/Icon Sportswire Packers [Aaron Jones] Aaron Jones injured in Packers’ loss to the Lions Details: Jones hurt his ankle and was seen in a [walking boot]( following the 15-9 loss. - According to Ian Rapoport, X-Rays on the ankle came back "[inconclusive.](" More imaging will be done today. Crutches: Three other Packers were on crutches following the game — WR Romeo Doubs (ankle), CB Eric Stokes (knee, ankle), and OLB Rashan Gary (knee). The team fears Gary tore his ACL. Concussions: WR Christian Watson and ILB Krys Barnes both left the game with concussion-like symptoms. Dig Deep: Aaron Rodgers, who threw 3 interceptions, said the Packers need to “dig deep” and mentioned the importance of winning the team’s next two games. - Green Bay hosts Dallas (6-2) next Sunday and Tennessee (6-3) the following Thursday. Failure: Earlier on Sunday, it was revealed that Packers GM Brian Gutenkunst [tried and failed]( to trade for Panthers WR D.J. Moore and Raiders TE Darren Waller at last week’s deadline. He also failed to land WR Chase Claypool from the Steelers. NFC North: The Vikings (7-1) beat Washington on Sunday and hold a commanding lead over the Packers (3-6), Bears (3-6), and Lions (2-6). Image: Steven King/Icon Sportswire Bills [Josh Allen] Super Bowl Favorite? Bills lose to Jets 20-17 Upset: The Bills entered the game as a 10.5-point favorite and should see their Super Bowl favorite status dip a bit with the stunning loss. MVP? Josh Allen — a heavy favorite for MVP — had his worst performance of the season, completing just 18-of-34 passes (52.9%) for 205 yards, no touchdowns, and 2 interceptions. - Allen is on pace for 17 interceptions this season — a number that would likely sink his MVP candidacy. Bigger Concern: While the loss stings, the bigger concern in Buffalo could be over Allen’s elbow, which he hurt late in the fourth quarter. Allen acknowledged feeling “slight pain” after the game, but said he would “work through it.” No Running Game: The common theme in most Buffalo losses is an underwhelming running game. Against the Jets, Devin Singletary and James Cook combined for just 39 yards on 12 carries. AFC East: The Bills (6-2) hold a slight lead over the Jets (6-3), Dolphins (6-3), and Patriots (5-4) in the increasingly competitive AFC East. - Buffalo could drop to third place with a loss to the Vikings (7-1) next week. Image: Rich Graessle/Icon Sportswire Standouts [Joe Mixon] Week 9 Standouts: Mixon, Fields, Hill, Walker, Mahomes Joe Mixon: Mixon totaled 211 scrimmage yards (153 rushing, 58 receiving) and scored 5 touchdowns in the Bengals’ 42-21 victory over the Panthers. - Going into Sunday, Mixon had zero 100-yard games on the season. Justin Fields: Fields accounted for 301 yards (123 passing, 173 rushing) and 4 touchdowns (3 passing, 1 rushing) in the Bears' hard-fought 35-32 loss to the Dolphins. - Fields has been the best quarterback from the vaunted 2021 draft class. He’s clearly outplayed Trevor Lawrence, Zach Wilson, and Mac Jones this season. Tyreek Hill: Hill caught 7 passes for 143 yards and 1 touchdown in the Dolphins’ win. He has the most receiving yards (1,104) through the first nine games of a season in NFL history and is on pace for an NFL-record 2,085 receiving yards. Ken Walker: Walker rushed for 109 yards and 2 touchdowns in the Seahawks' 31-21 win over the Cardinals. The rookie sensation has rushed for 424 yards and 6 touchdowns since taking over for an injured Rashaad Penny four weeks ago. Patrick Mahomes: Mahomes completed 43-of-68 passes for 446 yards, 1 touchdown, and 1 interception in the Chiefs’ 20-17 overtime victory over the Titans. He needed three more pass attempts to break the single-game record.
