Denver Post already calling for Nathaniel Hackett to be replaced + is Odell Beckham to Buffalo a near-lock?  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ October 07, 2022 [Sign up]( [Legit Football]( Together With: Stathead [Run Your Pool](  Colts [Matt Ryan] Worst Game Ever? Colts beat Broncos in dreadful punt & field goal fest Details: The game, which ended on a Chase McLaughlin field goal in overtime, featured 12 punts, 7 field goals, 15 penalties, and no touchdowns. Horrendous: It’s not an exaggeration to say that both Matt Ryan and Russell Wilson played like they belonged in the USFL rather than the NFL. - Ryan completed 26-of-41 passes for 251 yards, 0 touchdowns, and 2 interceptions. - Wilson completed 21-of-39 passes for 274 yards, 0 touchdowns, and 2 interceptions. Ouch: Following the loss, the Denver Post ran an article titled: “How much do the Broncos have to pay Sean Payton to replace Nathaniel Hackett as coach?” - Denver’s offense — Hackett’s supposed specialty — was booed by the home crowd throughout the game and only converted 2-of-15 third downs (13%). IND Injuries: The Colts’ win came at a cost, as three starters left with potentially serious injuries — DE Kwity Paye (leg), RB Nyheim Hines (head), and C Ryan Kelly (hip). DEN Injuries: The Broncos’ fared even worse, with four starters suffering game-ending injuries — LB Josey Jewell (knee), CB Ronald Darby (knee), LB Baron Browning (wrist), and LT Garrett Bolles (leg). Bright Spot: The lone offensive bright spot — on either team — was Colts WR Alec Pierce, who reeled in 8-of-9 targets for 81 yards. The rookie has outproduced Michael Pittman Jr. in each of the last two games. Week 6: The Colts (2-2-1) host the Jaguars (2-2). The Broncos (2-3) visit the Chargers (2-2). Image: Jeffrey Brown/Icon Sportswire Odell [Odell Beckham] Charles Robinson thinks Odell Beckham will likely end up in Buffalo Background: Earlier this week, Von Miller implied that Beckham will go on a free agency tour before signing with the Bills — as his ultimate goal is to win another Super Bowl. Robinson: Robinson, an NFL insider for Yahoo Sports, thinks that Miller is [foreshadowing]( what will actually happen, as the two superstars are very close friends who share and tell each other everything. - Robinson: “Miller isn’t sitting there with reporters talking up Beckham because he thinks he’s going to end up back with the Rams or sign up with one of Buffalo’s top competitors. He’s saying it because he thinks — or knows — that Buffalo is the destination.” Interesting: Robinson also revealed that Miller was instrumental in getting Beckham to sign with the Rams last year. Fit: Beckham would fit into the Bills’ offense rather nicely. He’d have an MVP-caliber quarterback in Josh Allen (who is an upgrade over Matthew Stafford) and a WR1 to draw defensive attention away from him in Stefon Diggs. Near Lock? Robinson finished his article by writing that Beckham to the Bills is “about as close as you get” to a lock and that the recruitment process “might be over before it starts.” Image: Jevone Moore/Icon Sportswire Pitts [Kyle Pitts] Kyle Pitts is not on track to play vs. the Buccaneers Details: Pitts has not practiced this week with a hamstring injury. His status for Sunday’s game is in doubt. Slow Start: The unicorn talent has not lived up to expectations thus far, reeling in just 10-of-22 targets for 150 yards and no touchdowns through four weeks. Depth: The other tight ends on the depth chart are Pecker Hesse (3 catches, 32 yards), Anthony Firkser (1 catch, 22 yards), and Feleipe Franks (0 catches). Tough Break: Atlanta will also be without RB Cordarelle Patterson, who was placed on IR with a knee injury earlier this week. - The playmaking load will need to be shouldered by two rookies — WR Drake London and RB Tyler Allgeier. TB Health: The Bucs’ will enter the game in better health, with injured players like Tom Brady (shoulder), Chris Godwin (knee), Julio Jones (knee), and Russell Gage (hamstring) all expected to suit up. 1st Place: The winner of the game will take first place in the NFC South. The Bucs are 9.5-point favorites. Image: David J. Griffin/Icon Sportswire Early All-Pro [Matt Milano] Bills LB Matt Milano, Bucs CB Jamel Dean, 49ers S Talanoa Hufanga named to PFF’s Early All-Pro Team Milano: PFF’s Sam Monson [writes]( that Milano has “been the best linebacker in football through four weeks.” - Milano (89.5 PFF grade) has totaled 27 tackles, 3 tackles for loss, and a pick-six this season. Wow: Quarterbacks have a 62.0 passer rating when targeting Milano in coverage, which is around 40 points below the league average. Dean: Monson calls Dean “one of the most underappreciated defensive backs in the league.” - Dean (83.6 PFF grade) has two interceptions and two pass breakups on the season. Quarterbacks are completing just 45.5% of their passes when targeting him in coverage. Hufanaga: Monson writes that Hufanga, a 2021 fifth-rounder, has Troy Polamalu’s “propensity for always being around the football and consistently making plays that look like guesswork without being exposed by the gamble.” Production: Hufanga (84.6 PFF grade) has totaled 25 tackles, 4 tackles for loss, 4 pass deflections, 2 interceptions, and 1 defensive touchdown this season. Image: Brian Rothmuller/Icon Sportswire Chargers [Keenan Allen] Keenan Allen (hamstring) continues to miss practice Details: Allen has not practiced or played since hurting his hamstring in Week 1. He does not seem likely to play against the Browns on Sunday. Impact: The offense has had some flat moments without Allen in the lineup, such as when they only scored 10 points on the Jaguars in Week 3. - Justin Herbert will continue to lean heavily on Mike Williams, Gerald Everett, and Austin Ekeler in the passing game. More Chargers News... - LT Jamaree Salyer — a sixth-round rookie who was thrust into the starting lineup following Rashawn Slater’s season-ending injury — was the Chargers’ highest-graded offensive player last week (78.6 PFF grade, 90.4 pass-blocking grade). - The Chargers are a 2.5-point favorite on Sunday. Image: Jevone Moore/Icon Sportswire Bateman [Rashod Bateman] Rashod Bateman (foot) is in danger of missing Week 6 Details: Bateman has not practiced this week with a foot injury and could miss the Ravens’ important divisional showdown against the Bengals. Impact: Bateman is third on the team in catches (11), second in receiving yards (243), and second in touchdowns (2). - He has been Lamar Jackson’s primary big-play threat this season. WR Depth: Devin Duvernay will take on the WR1 role if Bateman does not play. Mark Andrews, Isaiah Likely, and Demarcus Robinson would be in line for increased targets. Justice: The Ravens could also be without RB Justice Hill, who is battling a hamstring injury. Hill is averaging 6.6 yards per carry — a far better number than J.K. Dobbins (3.2), Kenyan Drake (2.3), and Mike Davis (2.1). Odds: Baltimore (2-2) is a 3-point favorite over Cincinnati (2-2) on Sunday night.
