This surge can be attributed to the amount of staked Ether recently crossing 30M ETH for the first time, with over 25% of the Ethereum network now being staked, a level never reached before. After remaining relatively flat in December, staking deposits have been boosted by the ongoing EigenLayer restaking boom. Yesterday, EigenLayer became the 4th largest restaking protocol, nearing $7 billion total value locked, up 307% during the past month following the temporary removal of its staking cap.]( [Starknet Foundation unveils much-awaited token airdrop.]( The Starknet Foundation, a non-profit organization behind the zero-knowledge-focused layer-2 blockchain, revealed a distribution plan for its native token with nearly 1.3 million wallets eligible for rewards. Diego Oliva, CEO of Starknet Foundation, said: “The STRK Token was born so that STARK-based scaling can happen in a more decentralized way. The token design helps Starknet to be run and managed by the community, and Provisions is a powerful means to achieve this.” Over 700 million STRK tokens will be airdropped to users across Ethereum in the distribution’s first phase, between February 20 and June 20. Eventually, 1.8 billion total STRK tokens will be distributed to users and community members. The bank has partnered with Ava Labs and other traditional financial institutions for the tokenization of private equity funds. Citigroup carried out a simulation highlighting how a private equity fund can be tokenized, potentially paving the way for greater blockchain adoption on Wall Street. The bank is convinced that blockchain-enabled technologies could reshape private equity.
