While Trump forced Democrats to focus on the White House and on defending our communities from his attacks, the rest of the GOP was hard at work propping up far-right extremists in down-ballot elections — fueled by rampant rightwing propaganda, and with the goal of helping more extreme voices rise through the ranks. Today, we’re seeing the results of that in state legislatures around the country. From the assault on abortion rights to the shameful targeting of LGBTQ+ communities, Republican-controlled state governments are the point of origin for the WORST attacks we’re facing.
