I won’t stop speaking out. [Leaders We Deserve]( Hi {NAME}, Zooey Zephyr here. I’ve been a Montana state representative since winning my first election in 2022, and in that time I’ve experienced firsthand how far Republicans are willing to go to silence young people who dare to hold them accountable for their harmful policies. Our voices have power and we know this because if they didn’t, Republicans wouldn’t be fighting tooth and nail to stop us. When Montana’s Republican governor signed a bill that outlawed gender-affirming care for young people, I took him and all of his MAGA GOP colleagues to task on the House floor for the real harm these hateful policies cause. Clearly what I said struck a nerve, because they voted to ban me from speaking on the House floor shortly thereafter. Make no mistake: As far as MAGA Republicans are concerned, your rights stop where their authority begins—and that should worry us all. But there is good news! As Republicans continue to foment fear about everything from LGBTQ people to families using IVF, young people like me are standing up across the country and running for office in the hopes of building a better, more inclusive America. And this year in Montana, we have the opportunity to break the Republican supermajority that silenced me. But in order to make that a reality, we need to vote out the Republicans running the show and vote to bring in some fresh faces and ideas. And that’s why I’m so proud to be a part of Leaders We Deserve as a member of the advisory board. Leaders We Deserve is gearing up to endorse and support state legislative candidates all over the country this year, and your grassroots support will be critical to helping each and every one of them win on Election Day. Your support of my campaign can have a significant impact, especially in places like my home of Montana where contribution limits are very low. So even $5 can go a long way as many campaigns like mine don’t cost millions of dollars. [So {NAME}, if you want to help replace those standing in the way of progress with young leaders who share our priorities, will you split a $5 donation between my campaign and Leaders We Deserve today?]( [Donate $5 »]( Thanks for being a part of this fight, Zooey Zephyr --------------------------------------------------------------- [Donate »]( This email was sent to [{EMAIL}](#).
