Sarah McBride is no stranger to making history. [Leaders We Deserve]( {NAME}, We are working with a lot of inspiring candidates this election cycle, but today I want to tell you about one race in particular that I’m excited about: Sarah McBride, our newly endorsed candidate for Delaware’s at-large seat in the U.S. Congress. [But first, can you split $5 to Sarah's campaign and Leaders We Deserve? Together, we're electing young progressives like Sarah all across the country.]( Sarah is no stranger to making history: in 2016, she became the first openly transgender person to address a national party convention. When she was elected to the Delaware State Senate in 2020, she became the first transgender state senator in the entire country. And when we help her win in November, she’ll break new ground as the first ever transgender member of Congress. During her time as a state legislator, Sarah has already earned an impressive record of victories and real results for the people of her district, including passing paid family and medical leave, an assault weapons ban and other significant gun safety reform, and a number of bills protecting reproductive freedom in Delaware. And just this week, she announced new legislation to secure the largest ongoing investment in Delaware’s Medicaid program since the Affordable Care Act. Sarah is a proven changemaker who we need working for Delaware and all of us in Congress alongside a Democratic majority next year. We’re all in on this race! [We're going to be doing everything we can to help Sarah win this race. Can you make a $5 donation to Sarah's campaign and Leaders We Deserve now?]( [Donate $5 »]( Thank you!!!
