[View this email in your browser]( While last week’s events were focused on study habits, goals, and perseverance, this week we’re diving into more technical topics with two more workshops: In this workshop JD will introduce you to the command line, an essential tool that can feel overwhelming for beginners. Join him Tuesday, October 31st at 6pm US Eastern for “How to Navigate & Manage the File System like a Pro.” [Register]( This workshop is a great introductory resource. Here’s what one student had to say after the last session: “The presenter was very knowledgeable as well as helpful. He explained the reason why the answers we chose in the sample questions were correct and why they weren't. As someone very new to this, I was able to follow along and not feel lost.” Also next week, we’re hosting the workshop, “Demystifying how the Internet Works”: Thursday, November 2nd at 6pm US Eastern, Trevor will lay the foundation required for understanding what the internet is and how it works. You’ll leave understanding what we mean when we talk of servers, clients, IP addresses, and more. [Register]( If you’re feeling intimidated by such a complex topic, here’s what some of the attendees had to say about the last iteration of this workshop: “I liked the detailed visuals that were provided throughout the webinar. It helped me visualize and better understand the complexity of how the internet works.” “It was well done. The quizzes, use case and graphics worked very well together to communicate a complex concept in one hour ” We hope you’ll join us in a welcoming and engaging environment to further your knowledge on these topics. As always, these workshops are open to everyone, regardless of your Launch School subscription status. Looking forward to seeing you there!
