[View this email in your browser]( There are just a couple of days left to sign up for our latest Peer-Led Seminar to learn Python. Together with your teammates, you’ll work on presenting the fundamentals of Python, from syntax and conditional processing to classes, comprehensions, and generators. Previous attendees have enjoyed our Seminars as an interesting and fun way to learn about something new. Sessions will run at 4pm US Pacific / 7pm US Eastern ​​​beginning October 5th and run through November 16th Python is an excellent general purpose programming language, but is especially popular in the data science and machine learning fields. Since growing in popularity in the early 2000’s, Python has maintained its position high on the list of most popular programming languages. - The Seminar is open to all currently subscribed Launch School students who have completed RB/JS129. Capstone alumni and Core graduates are also welcome. - We'll meet weekly for 7 weeks, with each session lasting around 60-75 minutes. - Please sign up no later than September 18th so we can announce the teams the following day. [Register for Seminar]( We'll be using the book Introducing Python : Modern Computing in Simple Packages, Second Edition by Bill Lubanovic. Make sure you allow time for delivery if you order the hardcopy book. You can also find it available as an e-book. As of writing this, you can find hardcopies for about $27.
