Hi Everyone, It's that time again. It seems to happen every year, whether we like it or not. Daylight Saving Time begins at 2am, March 12th, 2023. That means that Launch School will switch from US Eastern Standard Time to US Eastern Daylight Time, and our clocks will move forward by 1 hour. Those of us who live in a locale that observes this change will lose 1 hour of sleep. This time change impacts us at Launch School since many of our events are listed as "US Eastern" time, which means it varies depending on whether it's currently "standard" or "daylight" time. Potential Impact To You - If you have an upcoming interview or meeting scheduled, and you currently live in a locale where daylight savings time changes aren't observed or that follow a different schedule, you may be impacted. Most advanced calendar systems, like Google calendar, will automatically take care of this conversion for you, but, to double check, go to Google and search for something like "time in New York City". - All events - live sessions, study groups, seminar meetings, tech talks, and so on - are listed under Eastern time. If you have been attending an event regularly at a certain time, that may no longer be the right time for you. Make sure that you account for the time change to Eastern Daylight Time, or check with the organizer of your event. Most internet enabled clocks, smartphones, and computers will automatically make the adjustment for you, but you may want to double check. Again, this change takes effect March 12th at 2am US Eastern. --------------------------------------------------------------- If you wish to stop receiving emails from us, you can use the one-click link below to unsubscribe.
