If you don’t secure a career in technology after earnestly searching for 12 months, you won’t owe us anything.  [View this email in your browser]( We've taken yet another step to creating greater equity in education. In our last email, we briefly mentioned that we would be launching the Deferred Payment Program in August. It’s finally here! We believe education should be accessible to all, so we are thrilled to announce the Deferred Payment Program's launch. No upfront fees for Core Curriculum AND Capstone, plus a job guarantee - or it's free. Over the past 8 years, we've built one of the best software engineering schools in the world. Our graduates command, on average, $115,339 within 10 weeks after graduation. We now want to expand those who we can serve by offering a Deferred Payment Program, where students pay nothing upfront. And, we believe in our curriculum so much that if graduates can't get a job that pays at least $60,000, then it's completely free. We genuinely believe our Core Curriculum + Capstone can get you to a career-launching job as a Software Engineer, so we’re willing to take a gamble. The DPP is only a pricing change plus a money-back guarantee. Nothing about the curriculum changes. The Launch School Core + Capstone curriculum is battle-tested and leads the industry in results (we have the highest average salary at just over $115k). DPP participants now have the option of deferring all cost through the entire end-to-end Launch School curriculum and won't have to pay anything until they receive their first paycheck. And we guarantee you'll get a paycheck - if you don't, you don't have to pay us anything. The only difference is that the deferred cost through Core will be $299/month, instead of the standard $199/month. That's the only difference. Everything else about our world-class curriculum remains the same. Further, we lowered the switching cost to decrease even more risk for participants. Unlike other training programs that offer a similar deferred pricing structure, our DPP doesn't lock you into an Income Share Agreement (ISA) from the outset. If it’s not working out, simply leave Launch School and pay us the $299 /month that you were in Core; your first month in DPP is on us, so there’s even less risk. An ISA from the outset is very restrictive: it obligates your future salary even if the training wasn't a good fit for you and it also prevents you from joining a different ISA-based training program. In our DPP, you can leave without any of those consequences any time before Capstone. We view this ability to leave Launch School as a feature and we think this is a far more student-centric approach that prevents predatory educational entrapment schemes so often seen elsewhere. We will also conduct a Q&A webinar where we will discuss the program and answer any questions you may have on Thursday, September 3 at 4:30 PM Pacific. Flesch reading score

Flesch reading score measures how complex a text is. The lower the score, the more difficult the text is to read. The Flesch readability score uses the average length of your sentences (measured by the number of words) and the average number of syllables per word in an equation to calculate the reading ease. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables. Usually, a reading ease score of 60-70 is considered acceptable/normal for web copy.
