The bills would give public access to internal investigations of police shootings statewide, and another would allow the release of body camera footage of those incidents. [Los Angeles Times]( — In another dramatic criminal justice reform, California is poised to do away with cash bail. Bail companies would need to spend around $3 million for a referendum asking state voters to rescind the newly passed law.
