Fighting for protections for essential workers, to end racist policing, and for a more just recovery

Fighting for protections for essential workers, to end racist policing, and for a more just recovery that starts from the bottom up is just the start. {NAME}: As a key supporter of progressive Democrats in New York City, we wanted to invite you to join Brad Lander’s campaign for NYC Comptroller. You can find out more about Brad’s vision for a just and equitable city [here](. If you no longer wish to receive these updates, you can [unsubscribe]( at any time. --------------------------------------------------------------- Dear {NAME}: Thank you for joining our campaign for more compassionate, and more equitable New York City. The COVID-19 is showing how critical it is that we use our city's resources to protect and support every New Yorker -- no matter where they live, where they work, or where they are from. Follow our campaign on social media for the latest updates on the coronavirus crisis, opportunities to volunteer, and ways to take action to help build progressive momentum for change in our city → [Twitter]( [Facebook]( [Instagram]( As a city council member, I’ve fought to strengthen our democracy, make government work better, and build a city that reflects our values: • We won living wages for Uber and Lyft drivers and are pushing for a comprehensive Essential Workers Bill of Rights, despite fierce opposition from big corporations like Amazon. • We held multiple virtual town halls during the pandemic -- attended by thousands of New Yorkers to help navigate unemployment insurance for freelancers and gig workers, organize for racial justice, support small businesses, and address parent needs and concerns. • We passed legislation to hold reckless drivers accountable and prevent traffic crashes -- the number one cause of injury-related death for NYC children under 14. • We fought to end “stop and frisk” and opposed the latest NYC budget that failed to meet the moment by defunding the militarized NYPD and reinvesting in our communities. In this historic moment of economic recovery and revolutionary social change, we must ensure that the most vulnerable among us are not left behind. Fighting for protections for essential workers, to end racist policing, and for a more just recovery that starts from the bottom up is just the start. Follow our campaign on social media for updates and opportunities to take action. Thanks again for being on our team, -- Brad Lander for NYC 456 Fifth Avenue, 3rd Floor, Suite 2 Brooklyn, NY 11215 info@landerfornyc.com [unsubscribe](
