And what day is that, you may be asking? [It’s Nvidia earnings day!]( And boy oh boy, the market has been sputtering this week as people move out of high-growth stocks into the more boring, defensive names (like we discussed here on Tuesday). Chip stocks of course have been on a hellacious run higher the past few months, led by NVDA, the king of chips, which is up 36% year to date, and others like Supermicro Computer (SMCI) — up a mind boggling 158% year to date, even after a 10% dip the past week! In addition to being the king of the chip stocks, Nvidia is also the king of order flow on my News Flow Scanner, getting a ton of big orders basically every day of the week. And while things have slowed down a bit this week ahead of earnings, we still had six orders hit today.... There’s one thing that really sticks out about the orders today with Nvidia trading around $670 a share and market makers expecting a massive move of $65 in either direction following the report… [Get the Orders Here!]( [] [] Heads Up! To get in these calls or puts before they blast off to the moon or fall off a cliff… With TSLA up about 2.2% to about $198 a share in early trading Wednesday, the order above hit in the weekly $190 puts. At the time, it was trading for around $1.03 a contract — my favorite kind of order… cheap! By noon on the East Coast and with TSLA now down just under $194 a share and falling fast, it was trading for about $1.90 a contract — that’s an 84.5%* move higher for those scoring at home. Something important to keep in mind… As it says at the top, this is the BEST order of the day — one of if not the biggest mover of all orders that came in (by around 1 p.m. ET). There were also gains that were much smaller, and of course some losers mixed in as well, as is the case every day. So what can you do with this information?
