All three major indexes were up at lunchtime on the East Coast, only to see things fade sharply heading into the 1 o’clock hour. Once again, the vast majority of order flow was very short-dated. Our old friend Cameco once again ticked across my News Flow Scanner, this time a bullish bet on next Friday’s $42 call options. More than 23,000 of these contracts were bought by 1:30 p.m., trading right around 25 cents a contract. Traders could be looking for a nice Monday morning bounce following the weekend. We also saw bullish bets in Samsara and Coherent… which isn’t a name that hits the scanner often — which means it could be worth a look, especially when it’s tipping the premium scales at nearly $300,000!
