VeloCity Last Thursday, my partner and I went to VeloCity, a fundraiser for the Lancaster City Alliance that doubles as a celebration of Lancaster city's restaurants and businesses. There were hors d'oeuvres aplenty, from beautifully salted truffle fries to mini grilled cheese sandwiches, to little breads topped with ricotta, caviar and blackberries. I loved watching the fashion show, especially. The models were, of course, stunning, and I loved that it celebrated local businesses, like Prism Thrift, EsoArts, In White and many more. We arrived a little late for the cocktail competition, so I've been [living vicariously through my team leader Jenelle Janci's recounting](. I did enjoy the "Poetic Justice" cocktail from Austin Gryzmala of Zoetropolis Cinema Stillhouse, which featured rose geranium gin, elderflower lychee syrup, Jade Cloud green tea, cucumber, muddled mint and orange bitters. (Funny enough, I don't like many of those ingredients on their own, but together they were beautiful). Did we spot you? [66ef5f72e50e8 image] Our photographers are always out and about.
