(Universal Pictures via AP) 'Speak No Evil' This is such a fun horror/thriller flick, and I definitely recommend adding it to your Halloween watch-list. It starts with an American couple, Louise and Ben, who live in London but vacationed in Italy. They meet another couple on the same tour, Paddy and Ciara. Each of them has a child, too. They all get along well, and so Paddy and Ciara invite the couple to stay with them in their massive, remote house for a weekend. It starts off incredibly fun - the families get along well. But, there's the occasional moment of discomfort, the feeling of, "Huh, this is a little weird." And it continues along this weird, uncomfortable path until the end, intensifying moment by moment. Of course, Paddy and Ciara are hiding some big secrets. This is a remake of the 2022 Danish film of the same name. I haven't seen the Danish version, but I've been told that the American version is pretty accurate up until a pivotal scene at the end, and then it's completely different. The ending to the original is horrifically bleak. Did we spot you? [66e62292d91ce image] Our photographers are always out and about.
