[66932f310dd86 image] "Sea of Stars" is a role-playing game that's available on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, as well as Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Windows and Nintendo Switch. Photo credit to Sabotage Studio. 'Sea of Stars' Before I knew how to write my name, I regularly sat on the edge of my parents' bed playing whichever Super Nintendo game my dad was playing at the time. Usually it was "Mortal Kombat," or "Killer Instinct," but sometimes, it was a fun role-playing game with a blue-haired hero called "Breath of Fire." I'd credit that game for kicking off my love of RPGs, though I of course wasn't very good at playing, or winning. I'm probably about three-quarters of the way finished with "Sea of Stars," a game that came out in 2023 that combines the classic, pixelated graphics of an older RPG with all the newer mechanics that actually make the game fun. It was so clearly created by a team of people who deeply love role-playing games. The two lead characters, Valere and Zale, are Solstice Warriors. Valere embraces moon-based powers, while Zale uses sun-based powers. Though it's a typical RPG in the way of, "only you can save the world," it's peppered with incredibly lovable characters, a well-written story line and enough activities that you're never bored. It's one of the best games I've ever played. Did we spot you? [66a56881326ef image] Our photographers are always out and about.
