We have you covered.     [662596334b122 image] Recently, music nonprofit Music For Everyone hosted a festival dedicated to the art of singing, called Lancaster Festival of Voices. The last event was a community singalong, featuring members of the community, as well as members of the Music For Everyone Choir. Photo credit to Amber Ritson, LNP Photographer. Get outside this weekend! I'm Mickayla Miller, a reporter at LNP|LancasterOnline. I spend hours every week combing through entertainment options to curate the best local weekend options for our readers. Whether you're looking for a night out on the town this weekend, or prefer a more laid-back experience, we have this week's highlights from Lancaster County's entertainment scene, plus what has me excited in the world of entertainment this week. Here's the Scoop. [645ed055d6ec6 image] Rough and Tumble Engineers Historical Association, based in Kinzers, hosts tractor pulls throughout the year. This file photo, by LNP correspondent Connor Hollinger, shows a tractor from 2023's Spring Steam-Up event.   - Lancaster County natives [Lyle de Vitry and Rob Grote]( (of indie rock band The Districts) will [perform a co-billed show at Tellus360]( on May 4. It'll feature some new works from the two musicians, as well as some collaboration. - Here are [seven events to check out this weekend]( in Lancaster County, including a Volkswagen festival, a tractor pull and two art shows. - If you're a reader, either avid or casual, [add these Lancaster County authors' books]( to your spring/summer reading list. - A [Penn Manor High School senior wrote]( a young-adult fantasy novel called "The Exceptionals." - May will be [filled with block parties]( in Lancaster city. [Here's what you need to know](. - LAUNCH Music Conference and Festival [kicks off today in Lancaster city](. For more things to do, [check out our events calendar](. Here's what I'm loving. "Abigail" features actors Angus Cloud, Kathryn Newton, Alisha Weir, Kevin Durand, Dan Stevens, Melissa Barerra and William Catlett. (Bernard Walsh/Universal Pictures via AP) 'Abigail' I'm on a horror kick. I promise I'll be done with it (eventually). "Abigail" premiered in movie theaters last week. It's an adaptation of "Dracula's Daughter," and features a group of rag-tag individuals who are commissioned to kidnap a young ballerina dancer, then stay with her for 24 hours in a locked house. This film is definitely more for those who love the theatrics of horror than for those who like realistic horror. It has blood and guts aplenty, betrayals and alliances, and some funny moments to balance out the rest. Much like "Late Night with the Devil" actor Ingrid Torelli, I definitely see a future scream queen in young actor Alisha Weir. Bonus points for those who love 2019 horror film, "Ready or Not," as directors Tyler Gillett and Matt Bettinelli-Olpin (who also directed "Abigail") confirmed that "Abigail" is in the same cinematic universe. Did we spot you? [662309a44ce6c image] Our photographers are always out and about.
